I am not really sure that games are getting worse (or better for that matter) everyone or nearly everyone in here has tried pretty many different games and sooner or later we will try to compare them to some of the first games we tried which the new games cant compare to no matter that - the old games was always better in our minds eye. Ask someone just entering into gaming, they will tell you how great this or that game is and then you try it and it wont really be anything special but in 5 or 10 years they will compare it to HL 5 or DNF and really belive that the old game was way better.
Btw. did you know that 49.4 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot?

PC Games get really good 2006 - we will still have lots of console ports - but those are gonna be X360 Ports (e.g. the new Call Of Duty)
And those games DO look nice...damn nice.
(Shaders, maybe dx10,prallax mapping,physics engine,HRD etc. etc.)
Regarding the story of the games I have to agree. Lots of the new games dont have anymore story...and they are way too short.
But at least we soon wont have to worry about crappy blocky ps2 graphics anymore

Yea, they will. I just dont get why shitloads of people on this site seem to trash consoles? Why cant people start acting like real gamers and just like games? Not the consoles their on. For instance, I dislike the GameCube, sure, but I still like some of the games on there. Well, mainly Zelda. I cant wait for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Games like that I'll probably end up getting for the PC just because of the enhanced graphics, and resolution. Also, games like that will have great moddability.

I don't think you can respect anyones opinion when they say 100% of console games suck.

ok you are right ppl.... damn 100% word
ok i own a xbox, a ps2 and gamecube and ps1 (+atari2600,nintendo64 + model before)
since i have a pc i didnt bought any console game, i rent them at my local
videostore....and besides the gta serie and some sport games which i dont play anymore, i didnt find a game that gave me some pleasure (yes you are right nothing is 100%, i did a mistake with that sorry my fault
next time i better keep my mouth shut)

Most publishers say 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' Really innovative games sometimes don't sell well, so publishers stick with a tried and tested formula (e.g. The Sims and it's 1001 expansions  ).

I think that is pretty stupid judge games from the platform they are come from.
Either is bad game , or good game.
RIDDICK is good game and its XBOX and PC game. RESIDENT EVIL from PSX 1 was great come back of survival horror started with ALONE THE DARK series on PC back in 1994.
Its about lack of ideas . Look at the firs MOHAA from 2001 g. Its great game. COD also great. Look at the MOHAA : PACIFIC , BOA . That doesnt deserve to be called "game" at all , thats its stupid , pathetic propaganda , with "extra shit" movies in DVD , with pathetic lines "We are brave marines" , "We are tough as man can be."
Well , I say FUCK IT! Did you won WW2 all by yourself? FUCK OFF!
Anyway , when I wait for GTA : SA , I m playing PRIVATEER 2 on DOsBOx , cause that IT IS GAMEPLAY , note some shitty boring PARIAH ---

MOHAA: Pacific Assault didn't suck... Though I must agree that BIA was a rather plain gaming experience since the only tactic in the hole game were flanking and the accuracy was down to 0.
But thats just me.
