I play games for years, I'm better in most games than my friends (racing, fps, third person shooter, adventure, rpg, simulation, sports) and even when I play online I'm able to pwn basically anybody on the server, be it an online shooter or racing game (though werelds drove unrealistic times in shift 2  ).
But my finacée wins against me in bomberman. We play it on zsnes and she is on the pad and I'm on the keyboard(played with pad too, no difference). She does not win sometimes, not often and not most of the time. She basically wins ALWAYS!
And now she discovered some casual game "Dinner Dash 2" and is already on level 39... and I'm on 14  The fuck 
The Problem is when we played WWF Wrestlemania on ZSnes and FIFA 2011 I let her win sometimes (she is so cute when she wins ^_^). And now she thinks that she is better in gaming than I am And loves to rub it in my nose. (it did not help that I find dead space to be very atmospheric and she loves it when a monster pops out just behind me  )
Can't play egoshooter against her, because she can't look at 3D games for more than 10 minutes She get's all messed up (dizzy, tired)

My gf quite often kick my arse in fps games. She is unbelivable good in Rocket Arena (quake).
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Can't ridicule you in my own topic where I state that my gf beat me in video games But I'll give it a try: IN A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER?! YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME! My fiancée would never beat me (in a fps)

You have to weigh it up.
If you beat her, she's likely to get the hump and not give you teh sexy time. Alternatively you can keep her happy and therefore more chance of getting what you want!

Oh no, your girlfriend beats you in videogames...
If anything this should make you happy as she'd be more inclined to play more games with you and you can share the hobby.
They are just games you know, and not a ritual that proves your manliness.

Well... finding gamer chicks isn't hard.
Finding hot chicks that game on the other hand is  (I tink it's genetic. Her mother plays a lot of casual games and she enjoyed watching me playing dead space too  )
@Epsilon: It's not a real rant. I take it light heardedly... But it still surprises me. How is she able to beat me? She didn't play much when she was younger, maybe a little bit NES but that's it. Can't be because of the age difference, she is just 4,5 years younger than I am :/
But she fell in love with another person anyway... Eric Cartman She recently discovered South Park (I basically repeatedly told her to give it a chance) and she just adores that little bastard 
...
ON TOPIC: Should "we" hardcore gamers take casual gamers more serious? Are they just better because they spend more time with the games?
Oh and congratulations on all the fellow humpers that have GFs/Wifes that play video games!

I've never succumb to the hatred of "casual" games, like most hardcore gamers have. Some "casual" games are actually addictive as all hell - and great fun at that.
