Can someone explain the exact process to install the skidrow release and get the patch updates? Ive seen a few posts but it seemed as if the people who pasted didnt really speak english and the steps did not translate well.

Simple, install the Skidrow release, don't copy over the crack. When asked for CD key, write, whatever you want. Let the patcher patch the game. Run it. It no longer has any protection.
Says Patcher EFIGS.exe is ready to be installed. When i click launch, it says "please use launcher to activate the game" This was after an "improper version" error or something.
So i clicked patcher.exe and it installed the patcher_EFIGS on its own. Now, its asking me for a serial number, when i put in "whatever I want" i get :
Activation process has been terminated
The serial number was not found in the database. Most likely the serial number has been entered incorrectly.
Press 'Back' to retry activating (please verify the correct input of the serial number) or click 'Exit' to abort.

sorry but just whos comments and opinions have they been listening to where 4:3 support is the only thing that not only warrants a mention, but actually gets BOLDED!
their first issue should REALLY be... sorting out d/ling a fuckin 9gb *patch* on steam EVERY time theres a 20mb-100mb patch for the retail... i mean, seriously WHAT.THE.FUCK.CDPR

That's Steam's problem (They don't update files, they replace them.) and they're working on it as I mentioned in the Steam beta thread earlier.
EDIT: Well sort of, there are ways around it such as that they could have used say a archive called patch.dzip and that would have solved it and also allowed more compatibility with mods as one would know what files were altered.
id Software resolved that elegantly back in 1996. with Quake 1. If you have pack0.pak and pack1.pak and if they contain files with the same name, the one in pack1 (or pack2, pack3 etc) automatically overrides the file in previous packs. So CD Project's choice to actually patch a 9GB file every time is just plain stupid (and also you need to defragment the partition every time you patch the game if you want maximum performance, which is another nuisance).
Wtf, what about 16:10? After all the outcry and their "we read your feedback" bullshit they only mention 4:3 support? What a bullshit excuse of a company -.- They seriously piss me off sometimes, they make a great game and all but they are amateurs regarding everything else.
