It has an unspecified release date. It's been merely scheduled out as a 2012 release.

Since the game takes place in 1912, I think they won't miss their 2012 target Smile
(or they'll be forced to change the year the game takes place).

Sounds like a great argument for sending out an unfinished game Smile

I'd more like say it has one of the best art style directions on this year's E3. Best graphics? Hardly. It's the same old Unreal 3.5 utilization with more bloom and lighting effects.

but people who played the first one got stuck when they had to find those people in the caves bit lol wut lol wut

seriously it wont be long until someone makes an FPS with the "racing line" often used in racing games just so the fucking retards dont get lost going from point A to point B

how come console gamers used to be fairly smart... tomb raider was one of the biggest games of all time it wasnt action pakced the levels were often fairly complex and alot of the time what you had to do wasnt obvious people still played the fucking games FFS why did all of the retard publishing companies like EA decide people are to stupid to play games?

even resident evil /silent hill had fairly difficult puzzles at times aswell they still sold by the boat load games like that these days would probbaly make a lol wut head explode

It's not really an on-rails game though, that's like calling BioShock 1 a swimming game because you are surrounded by water Laughing

Levine seems to be really enthusiastic about this new gameplay mechanic (It looks awesome, like a rollercoaster, clackity-clack Laughing) but I have to admit that I'm not impressed..too much automatism and focus on cinematic experience instead of enhancing the gameplay. We'll see.. it's still early to judge.

Art direction, setting, storyline, timeline etc... it's all testament of Levine's talent of turning something simple into a great experience. Game play itself in Bioshock wasn't revolutionary (it was a shooter with some interesting quirks as far as game play mechanics was concerned), it was the setting, the art style, the story, the atmosphere etc. that made it into a great one.

Compared to all the crappy CoD's, MoH's, GoW's and whatnot, this game will most likely be an exquisite experience.

Finally the UE3 is showing what it's capable of, very impressive lighting + textures..Let's hope the gameplay is on par with the visual experience.

I'd say that technically it is on par with Bulletstorm, which already looks rather good. But let's hope gameplay and story here are much more impressive. Laughing

All those CG trailers didn't excite me at all. But that 1:30 snippet of real gameplay was real impressive, now I am looking forward to this Smile
