Same here! Puzzles? In a FPS game? I just remember how many things we miss in new First Person Rail Shooters.

Puzzles you say? You mean the glowing orange objects? Yes, intelligent puzzles indeed! Laughing

You can turn that off.

Yep.
Besides the two-weapon-limit-every-retard-keeps-complaining about, game is pretty solid. It is Duke Nukem. It is the game I played while growing up. And thats AWESOME.

Should I bother to download, or is this complete shit? I mean for me, DN wasn't anything special, I don't see why a sequel should be any good.

It's surprisingly good, in a "90s shooter" way! It's a lot better than I expected, and a whole lot better than the demo indicated.

I have a feeling that Leo really won't like it, lol. It's not perfect.. not by a long shot... and no, I don't think it's as good as Duke3D -- but it IS fun, in a throwback kind of way Very Happy

I don't like it, it's stuck in the past or something. Maybe I'm too old now, but Duke is not funny anymore. This shit has been done a dozen times since its glory days. The game itself is subpar in every area, it's not normal. I feel like I'm playing a failed game from five years ago. How dare they charge the full buck for this one?

This.
I'm not gonna bash anyone for liking it and I sure as hell don't wanna sound elitist or anything but I think I've outgrown this kind of game.
Played it for an hour and apart from a couple of laughs I got nothing out of it.
Now if this game would have been released 14 years ago I think I'd have received it differently but now? Not my cup of tea anymore.
(And this is without commenting on the actual quality of the graphics and whatnot. Just the feel and I perceive it)

Definitely better than the demo but it really has almost nothing in common with duke3d, IMO.
So far (just completed the thing with the death ray )the maps are much more scripted and straightforward than the original, and that ruins a lot of the fun for me. Sad

I think it was 4875 but I could be wrong. There's a security camera monitor somewhere in the level where you can see inside the office and find the code on a white board.

Hey, maybe its just because im nostalgic but the more I play the more I like this game. It throws me back to an era where games were to there for the sole purpose of leaving a HUGE smile on your face and DNF does that pretty damn well.
