Anyone knows some games made in similar fashion to Dark/Demon Souls? Combat/gameplay wise, hardcore, oldschool and with hard difficulty?
I`ve finished witcher2 and watched lot of Dark Souls gameplay footage, clearly witcher 2 combat was inspired by those games, pity it 2nd act became too easy and almost not fun.
Anyone knows something simillar? Can be straight for PC or emulated. Maybe something for snes/psx/ps2 (with good emulation)?

The precursor to the Demon's Souls game was King's Field, which you can emulate from the PS1 and PS2 =)

Everytime I see that mentioned I feel like I'm about to cry, because of 2 reasons. One, I can't get the damn game working properly on my PC (still didn't manage to solve that abysmal camera) and two, I'm sure there won't be a sequel to that, probably never. That's a game that deserves a sequel, not these today's games which are made from the start with cheesy cliffhangers in mind, just to make more games later. It would be nice to have a sequel or at least a spiritual successor to Rune at least, but I can't see that happening either.

Best game ever for me. Every few months i install it and finish it again with all characters. Just awesome. And the mods are rewarding as well.

Blade of Darkness! Forgot about that great game. And its true, it has some similarities with Demons Souls. I think it was developed by some spanish people. I remember the graphics, and mostly the shadows were amazing for that time.

The game still looks damn great. It aged amazingly good.
