So...

I just sold my old 50" Panasonic Vierra, and I'm in the market for something new.

I'm actually leaning towards one of these Samsung LED-TV's that have this built in smart tv feature....but then someone tells me that LED's suck and that I should get a plasma instead...

Any thoughts? I read a ton of shit online some say LED is best some say plasma is king... I just don't know.

Anyone here have a samsung LED-TV that can give me some insight?

My parents just bought a new LED from Samsung 46" its pretty fucking great, to be honest but I hate the remote(although it has a small extra remote with it just volume and channels which is pretty nifty)

I do like my Plasma but its getting old Razz Panasonic 42" not full HD Smile

not to sound like a macfag (ie design matters) and I don't have one but I drool over the Samsung 7000 series whenever I see them in stores... steep price though...

LED TVs are ofc better than plasma, overall. But you get so much more for your money if you go with plasma.

atually you're wrong about deep blacks. Its way better on plasma. Expensive LEDs can compare, but plasma is epic for watching movies. It has generally better contrast than LCD and LED too.

Even I have started downloading 1080p movies now Laughing

Ya I noticed you can get a panasonic vierra 50" for under a $1,000 in some places, but then I see those Samsung LED-TV's and they look awesome. If picture quality is really better on a plasma then I will most likely reconsider.

Wish that they had 50" models for the samsung LED's though, goes from 46" to 55" (why such a large gap?).

right now I'm looking at this one, not very interested in the 3d models, they seem useless.
