I actually thought that bird demo video was for Shenmue.

At least you don't have to stand up to play, this new Wii controller looks better then the dildo you needed to use on the original. I assume the control itself will cost more then a DS lite that is my only problem, and they are trying to be too much like apple. Not neccesairly a bad thing but I hate Apple, so I guess I would rather buy a Wii controller to use as an ebook reader instead of an Ipad if it allows.

Anyway I'm big time excited. I will be picking this up for next years holiday season. 
unless it gets a lunch lineup like never before.

It's way too early to judge this console, what it will stand for, how it will be used. Specially the controller. I can see minimal use in games like Zelda, and no use in games like Mario. I doubt it'll be the main controller for the platform - it's already clear they're supporting wiimote etc.

IBM puts Watson's brains in Nintendo Wii U
Nintendo's new console, the Wii U, was finally unveiled to the world today at E3 2011, and we got a glimpse of its graphical prowess at the company's keynote. Details were scarce about the IBM silicon Nintendo's new HD powerhouse was packing, but we did some digging to get a little more info. IBM tells us that within the Wii U there's a 45nm custom chip with "a lot" of embedded DRAM (shown above). It's a silicon on insulator design and packs the same processor technology found in Watson, the supercomputer that bested a couple of meatbags on Jeopardy awhile back. Unfortunately, IBM wouldn't give us the chip's clock speeds, but if it's good enough to smoke Ken Jennings on national TV, we imagine it'll do alright against its competition from Sony and Microsoft.

So did you guys already read that all those nice graphics were actually from PS3, XBOX360 and PC and NOTHING from the new Wii U as the hardware is not even nearly finished?

Why shouldn't it? If the news about the hardware configuration should be remotely true than it's far more powerful than any ps3 or 360...

Zelda looked good, but the other game's shown (which were mutil-format) was shown playing through a PS3/360 console.
