Skidrow release is missing the manual. Is it available somewhere for download or maybe the prima guide?

But they've messed it up - this is Brink manual Very Happy

edit: here is the real one:
http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/22450/hunted_gfw_manual-07e.pdf

Quick question. When I try to join an online game, it searches for it for a few seconds and then starts connecting to one, but it all ends up wit a connection error. When I host a game, people join fine and we play, but I can't join myself. I can however, join my friends private match and he can join mine. Also, is it just me or there is absolutely no server for Crucible online?

So after hearing everyone say "try it again, it gets better later on" - and against my own better judgement, I decided to grab the Skidrow version of this and give it another try; I'm glad I did. Still unattractive, in place, but not as bad as the PS3 -- and it's FUN! Shocked I'm about 5, maybe 6, hours in and I'm happy to admit I was being hasty in my earlier appraisal; this is a very fun dungeon romp.

I tried it with a friend in coop and we both just quitted when we saw how amazingly stupid, hand-holding and linear this game can be. Random crap seems to happen in this game. I remember that I wanted to pick one of those crystals from the ground and then explore the area, but the game said no, and teleported me to the other character when I pressed E, in a place when you needed to press E again to jump a gap. What a fucking bullshit! The things with "press E to jump", "press E to kill", "press E to win the game" also annoyed the fuck out of me. I just can't seem to find anything good about this game, it's absolutely horrible, even in coop. And to think that I was the one that had faith in the guys from inXile when they announced the game, now I'm the one that likes it the less.

I'm not even out of Chapter 2 yet... and I've been playing for at least six hours. At LEAST. Honestly, I've never been more glad to be wrong -- I'm glad I listened to everyone telling me the game gets better later on, because it really does. I'm having a wicked time.

So far I've tried my best, as I always do in games like this, to scour every single path available. Finding all the prisoners, all the crystals, all the dragon's tears, all the sidequests, all the Death stones.

Indeed it is a good game. Having a blast with it. I don't see why so many people dissed it. It just gets better later on.

Heh, just got to chapter 3 also, sure the gameplay is a bit basic and it does copy titles like Gears of War but I enjoy the game as a sort of simpler Rune, Enclave or maybe Severance. Smile

Started to finally find better weapons as well (Tier 2 stuff including a new crossbow, pauldron, shield and of course the three weapon classes available.) and the perks unlocked have helped a lot as has some of the skills.

Took time to get this far as I kept exploring around, 14 dead bodies examined for lore, info and other hints but I likely missed something, two of those dungeon lord keys also found and a ton of gold for unlocking the arena type map editor content. Very Happy
(Have not used the silver liquid "Sleg" either as I'm aiming for a good ending, though I've only seen one jar so far.)

Don't do that, JB, just don't Sad. It's not at all like those games. Those games weren't generic crap like this and they were amazing right from the start. Guess it's to hard to ask for a game like those in these days. I'm waiting for a sequel to Severance for quite a couple of years now, but it seems it's not cinematic enough. Even if someone did something like that, it would probably have automatic combos, like uh... when you press a button something awesome has to happen, button - awesome now connected!

Ah but of course Hunted is not on the same level as either of those games (Even taking the time differences between them.) but it reminds me of them in many ways but it's not like I'm saying it's better or such, just that it's somewhat familiar when compared to those and that it likely borrows several elements.

Severance differs with real different character classes and playstyles in more than just equipment, Enclave has two separate paths plus character differences and Rune focuses on a single character but more serious and gritty to just name some basics.

It was a time since I played either of them of course, perhaps comparing it to something simpler is better, Dragonstone perhaps?
(Gears is the easiest as mentioned but that's because Hunted borrows so much of the actual gameplay elements from it which works against it and the setting somewhat, it's rather basic is what I mean, even more so if compared to any of the above titles.)

I'm sure it gets better, but the hour or so I played was utter scum-bucket. My life is ending step by step, and I don't need this to speed it along.
