Not to ruin it ....but the demo isn't even close to how it really is!!!!!!

Can you guys playing the full version confirm if the violence is better than the demo? For example are there bullet holes on enemies, or blood splashes on walls and floors when you kill things?

Lots has changed from the demo....makes more sense...Pigcops are hard to fight....but I figured it out....lots to do...driving ...shrinking.....not as pretty as lets say Crysis 2....but WTF it is DUKE!!!!

Anyone care to give us a mini review of what they have seen so far.

This is one of those titles I've waited for but also worried the most about, something screams Postal to me about what I've seen as video's, ie its OTT but on the cheap looking side.

Duke games have always been about sarcasm and OTT but they have always had a style, a class that said 'Duke Nuke 'em'...

well i think the duke is the duke we used to know from our childhood Very Happy the gfx is awful, but the game is much fun. and the duke jokes are just awesome. personally i enjoy this game very much. (duke is in fact so awesome he made me play a shooter on a xbox, never did this before Razz)

nah i´m certainly not a fanboy Razz btw runs @60fps but still awful graphics Very Happy
i must say i was not so impressed with the demo, but the fullgame is much more fun. it´s a fun shooter with many laughs.

Yes, judge it as a game 1st and then as a Duke game after, if it looks like a dated dodgy old game then just say so, unlikely as it might be on here (Smile ) someone might be putting their hard earned cash towards this and if its slightly shiny turd then please say so.

As a big Duke fan, I have to say that IMO the game is awful....


feels like the devs knew this would do great in retail because it's Duke, but controls feel loose and the visuals are downright ugly.


Maybe I should give it some, but right now it doesn't look good.

i loved the demo and if some people here saying the demo is nothing in compare to the full game=pikachupi very happy:)

(since i don't have xbox360, i will have to wait few days for the pc ver, but i like what i read here, looks like there is what to look forward to:)

My 0.02$:

Played for some hours now, Duke is definitely the duke from our childhoods, what he says/does and how he does it is all awesome. Had a few big laughs already. Gfx wise its pretty mixed (you would expect that from a game with such a long dev time Wink) some parts look terrible, others look fine. Over all its ok in the gfx departement, the pretty parts are good and the ugly parts are not that ugly that it would ruin the experience. The pacing is great, had a lot of different environments already. However it has a pretty slow start so give it an hour before you judge Wink. The shooting is fun since all the weapons are there, pipebombs are as fun as they were back in the day for example.

I would recommend this to everyone who played dn3d and liked it. It has so many nods to dn3d that half of the fun will be lost on you if you didn't play duke in the past. I could def. justify buying this as a duke fan.

However, if you dont like duke at all, this game might not be the game for you..

How is it in the mini puzzle apartment? sometimes you get stuck in dn3d and need to walk around for a good few min, perhaps more to find your way.. Anything like this? I bet not, but i still have hopes it's not just a 4 hours runthrough game with no challenges like the rest.

Well now.. It's starting to sound passable.

I liked Duke well enough in my teens, but I doubt that kind of humor can carry an entire game for me today. So, if it's 1994 shooter gameplay laden with endless shitjokes - I'll have to pass.

You will be pleasently surprised Wink There def. are mini puzzles, some even bring half life 2 to mind -> physics puzzles.

and there are "sidepuzzles" to boost your ego permanently, for example you hear a rat in the cupboard and theres a microwave in the room, Ill leave the rest to imagination Wink

I played for roughly 4 hours now and looking at the achievements it seems like I'm only 1/3 trhough the game, so it also seems to be longer than your average shooter.
