To achieve some of the GFX in the games they have shown, do you need a Wii u. Does it handle some of the processing? I am watching the press conference but my work station doesn't have sound .
so is there a full on console this wiipad? If there is something in there which can display games like Arkham City in the same fidelity as PS3/XBOX the controller alone is going to be 300$+ so i call bulshit on same graphic fidelity. I mean this thing definitely looks cool but i cant imagine the controller itself having the same processing power as one of the other big consoles.
Name is horrible, but I DO think the concept is pretty interesting. I don't (and neither does any one of you) know how it'll work - as a good addition to gameplay or just a pricey gimmick? Time will tell. But it won't come out for another YEAR, so no point in speculating or diss it/praise it yet.
Like it way more than Kinect or Move, that's for sure.
Oh, and it's an entirely new console, they just demoed the controller.

I don't think that this is the primary controller. It's a controller but not one that will be shipped with the console. I think they're going to redo the gamecube controller. or stick with the wii controller and this will be an available peripheral. Mainly because of the price. I don't think people will pay 1000 for the console. i think it'll cost 450 at lunch with a basic controller and this one will cost 200.
