EDuke32 and the hi res textures bring serious playability to the game on newer machines
check it out
Edit: no idea what the demo is like, after lurking in this thread, i don't even want to touch it lest it anger me

I think mostly it was a poor choice of levels. The canyon level is boring as shit, as they were in Duke 3d. Duke shined/shines in metropolitan areas, i remember those maps like the supermarket, the disney-ish amusement park, etc.

Grabbing the 360 now.....I'll let you know where the bear shits in the woods on this one....one problem....I love Duke and am a big fan...so it could be a 4k atari 2600 cartridge and I would still love it!!!!!!! DUKE HATERS!!!!!!
