why do you guys hate on kinect so much? it's not required for any of the games that incorporate it and honestly it's not that bad as a time waster. i mean shit someone bought mine for me, i would never have bought it but it's really not all that bad.
i just don't understand why all the hate?

Well I don't know about everyone else but the thing that is bothering me the most about Kinect is how they're showing it off in the press conference. It's so fucking fake. The "father & son" who are playing whatever crap game that "teaches life lessons" are obviously actors, BAD actors.
Ghost Recon kinect implementation was just plain stupid and hilarious, I don't think I need to explain why.
And wtf is up with this voice control shit? Is it more convenient to loudly and very articulately shout "XBOX PAUSE" than to press the fucking pause button? The ME3 voice recognition thing also got me sayin "WHY?!", atleast in the dialouges. The shouting out commands might be useful, if it works...

i completely agree with you on the voice recognition. its a cool idea but honestly how lazy do you have to be? and the mass effect commands shit? how well is that going to work when it's picking up all the background noise of the game and you're seriously needing to do whatever it is you're trying to do. by the time you shout the command 15 times you'll have died or could have just used the damn controller.
and i also agree with you on the ghost recon. why go to such extremes to play the game when the controller works just fine. what i was saying is i dont understand why everyone acts like you have to play the game using that shit. it's there if you want it, and if you don't keep on trucking. no big deal.
if they really want to integrate kinect into the games they need to make it useful instead of making it what it is for now, and that's a gimmick. make it so when i lean left or right i'm doing it in the game to look around a corner instead of holding a button to do it. they could have much better implementation if they weren't trying so hard to make it accepted.
