Well this "leak" has been massively successful, with a lot of earlier opponents now proclaiming their enjoyment... as well as giving constructive feedback. I've actually not seen much "gaem iz shit!!11" nonsense, most of the feedback has actually been very constructive. There's less than three months to go, but still... let's hope EM managed to take heed of some of the more prevalent issues.

Spoiler: | Come down those initial stairs and under/near the rear right side stairs of the big room (right side if you face the room where the hostages are. ) there is a vent behind a box. That takes you up top to a beam that crosses the room. Then to another vent that comes into the room the hostages are in.
Or you can sneak around through the hallways and come around the backside of the lab and then go up the stairs and through the door of the lab. That's how I did it and then discovered the damn air vents afterward. Would have been way easier through the vents. But at least it gave me an easy way out

The age, when PC gamers rejoice perfect pad support ... fuck yeah, loving it!
How about some games, that have perfect mouse and keyboard support for once?! Especially with a PC franchise like DE!

Yeah apparently setting aspect ratio to something other than auto gets rid of mouse acceleration.

It's the first rule of next gen game design. If it's awesome the first time, it's just as awesome (if not more so) the 5000th time.

Jesus. It looks like you could farm enough Legionella from that air conditioner to wipe out a small town.

Takedowns waste energy I could use to power my other augmentations..
The reason they did it the way they did (heard/read this in an interview) is that they don't want it to be something that the player can fail and they don't want it to turn into a QTE.
It would look just as "off" if you hit the button and suddenly the npc falls down.
Supposedly this build is from April, so they've been working on this quite a bit since then.. and with it not releasing until august, I'm not worried at all. |
The problem is not the takedown animation, obviously, it's the ease with which you can get in TD position.
Anyone here remember the commandos games? That's how taking down from behind should work like: you have to calculate angles, timing, sound, the works. Here, it's piss easy. If anything, on Deus Ex difficulty, being stealthy is way easier than shooting it up ...

I didn't find it too easy, it was ok. Commandos is a very poor example, that level of difficulty/precision would be frustrating in a game like this.
