then explain to me those posted screen shots above !

if both games are the same , then i dunno what makes them both look diffrent ? maybe Skids one adds some registry entry ? when Ali version is a direct rip with no registry

What crack did you use to play ALI213 version? If it wasn't SKIDROW's crack then that is the most probable culprit behind these differences. Try using SKIDROW's crack with ALI213 version of the game and see if the game looks as it should.

Must be something in that repack they removed or altered then, maybe, game is 10.6 GB after all and the movie folder is only 1.5 GB so at nearly 9 GB left compressed down to 5 GB seems a bit odd unless those UE3 files can be compacted (Are uncompressed already or what to call it.).

well the rip looks like it should [?] look on those walkthough videos that many users post [PC and Console walkthougs] and its 4,1gig big to be precise [they only used ARC on those files and Bink Compression tools to re-recode movies to 480p]

but only the 12 gig ali213 version looks different hmm maybe its something to do with region settings ? anyone remember Gothic Arcania and its USA/European settings [Laughing] one version was brown as shit and the other had overbloom and saturation effects ... so i think its the same , also its the same like with Resident Evil 4 that was called BioHazard 4 and people had to patch this leaked Chinese version with files to spoof Europe to have the pixel shader patch... so maybe this version is stylized different ? [like German version of Half-life has Robots that bleed oil and German C&C remade the story to transform units into androids to justify the Nod Genocide Laughing ]

Try renaming the exe to bioshock.exe and forcing AA from control panel.

And that's chapter 1, funny how the visuals go from looking great to looking really poor depending on ambient lighting and similar, UE3 might have a bit of a flaw there. Very Happy
(Depending on how it's utilized for example, lighting is needed for shadows and textures to appear properly of course, normal maps, shaders and stuff like that.)

!!!!! A WORD OF FAIR WARNING !!!!!

SKIDROW VERSION and ALI213
are two different versions of this game !!!!

Ali213 is more like a RC gold version/Review Beta it has less visual effects and some FX effects are different example : for the souls you speak to Skidrow - blue ghost , Ali213 - red green smoke mist

Skidrow version is the Full Retail version not only it runs faster and the maps load faster , but some maps look totally different [beginning of chapter 2.1 Ali213 camera zooms down into a well , Skidrow - camera zooms into a well in a rainy weather with rain drops and watter effects dripping from walls]

now you may ask "how do you know that" found a 4gig repack of the Skidrow version with all there but movies are recorded to 480p from the original 720p and wanted to test it... but to my shock all things now look different even the first map , remember the bridge you shoot the rope it now has a whole different wood texture !

whats the name of the skidrow repack rip?

edit:
found it and downloading.
hope the gfx will be better Very Happy

Laughing yeah you could say that , but a console game build from ground up as a CO-OP Fantasy platformer , that was build on the buddy system of "Army of Two"... heck it even has the same animation when they pull that door up... can't be bad lol wut

if your looking for a good coop get it i say , and its free because it uses Gamespy !

just finished it and my score of 8/10 still stands finally a Fantasy SP campaign with the '80 feel of Conan and free coop Very Happy

The game is not that bad at all, at least for me. It gets even better in co-op. I just started Chapter 1 and it looks quite good visually, though there is some poor areas in Prologue. Overall, so far, so good. If it's 10+ hour long campaign, even better.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I HATE the inventory. It's done terribly, they could've done it much better.

its even longer then 10h , you need like 7h just to finish Prologue with chapter 1 with 2

Either lower the settings to medium, or go to Documents > My Games > Hunted > DFGame > Config and open DFEngine.ini. Search for MotionBlur and MotionBlurPause and set it both to False. If you do the latter, you can keep the settings on highest and there will be no flicker.

Played a bit, it's fun, actually. Been looking for an action ultra light rpg since forever. Runs great, it has that old...I dunno, same feel that Lord of the Rings: Return of the King had. Been looking for that.

This is the virus report on SR's release. There's also a comment saying it's a pretty bad one. Any truth to this?

Really like the game so far. Don't think it's a Gears of War with bows, reminds me more of Rune.

Graphics look nice, better than Mass Effect 2 at least. Game gets so much better after finding 6 secret locations to unlock second melee weapon slot, so you can finally carry a torch along with your main melee weapon. Locations get better too in latter chapters, though secret and side dungeons are still much better looking than the plot ones.

Also, game have really awesome sound and background music.
