This game got Kojima's style all over it. Which I like! It's like playing MGS on a PC. Smile

I've asked the developers, and they have an answer.

It's delayed till August to save you from having it in June is the reply I got.

That ok?

No. What I meant is, if you played MGS4 you'll easily notice the vast similarity in the graphics which is unique to Kojima. Really cool Japanese graphics style. It's basically seen on all of his games, if you played Zone of the Enders for the old PS2 you'll also notice it. Looks like Kojima really likes to design robots graphics.

I had a rather long cutscene (Though likely nowhere near MGS4 length.) when arriving at a certain street.
(Was with some certain girl's mom actually, maybe those arm attachments can be used for more than stabbing.)

EDIT: Hacked and got into each level of the office as well via smart thinking.
(Well finding those well shown videoed air ducts and similar and completing a e-mail hack sequence or ten to find password and info isn't all that much but for this game it'll do.)

(But I can't access my own computer yet funnily enough, nor my boss's, haha.)

Is there no way of getting all the available augs? Finished it, want to replay and test a few augs to see which way i wanna go with the final game.

The game is really fun and seems to be a decent successor to the first Deus Ex. The only thing I don't like are some bad animations during conversations, which includes characters constantly fidgeting like they're on drugs.

Must have missed it then, thought I took time to explore everything and then I missed that, hmm. Smile
(Was trying to raise hack or rather it's capture skill in order to open it, funny way to access your own terminal, still need to raise it up a bit more though so I can explore that other terminal, unfortunately that means sacrificing several other interesting upgrades but that's why one keeps multiple saves around, hah.)

I never thought I'd actually write this down, but hey, whatever: nice job, EM!

My only issue is this ^^^

...and Sarif's voice. Totally doesn't suit how he looks, makes him sound kind of dumb, this is purely based on the helicopter ride to the first mission as I stopped playing not long after

I really hope there are some large open levels too

Levels are very large; you can visit almost every building and go underground through manholes just like in the first DE. Not a fan of the brown visual/pp effects either though, let's hope for some mod Smile

Is there any way to fix the mouse acceleration/different Y/X mouse sensitivity?

You guys do realise there is no mouse accel, right? The devs even said as much over twitter about a month ago.

The X/Y issue is totally different. If you have a razer mouse or something which allows independent X/Y sens rates, then make a profile for DX and increase the VERT sensitivity a bit to compensate.

Yeah, noticed that when I tried it just now. Different X/Y thingy kinda sucks though. Anyway, just crashed at the start when I was in Sarif's office about to check on a problem in the lab. This normal?

There's 100% mouse accel, they either lied or have no clue how it manifests. I can make like 270 degrees with a quick flick.
There's also a wierd "feeling" on wasd, like he starts slower, not directly into normal movement speed.

LOL! I got quoted on EM forum by someone called Psyder. He didn't use my name (thank you <3) but he pointed out my current, and previous, comments as evidence that even pirates were so impressed by the alpha that they're wiling to purchase. I was initially against the game, especially some of the design decisions, but since EM changed that (no more objective/object highlights) and then the leaked alpha, I am absolutely 100% convinced this is a worthy Deus Ex title. My time in the alpha has been nothing short of glorious and it firmly convinced me that preordering is worthwhile.

The game is amazing, it has some niggly issues that I hope are due to it being an unfinished build, and the gold hue is a bit much sometimes... but the game? The audio? The gameplay? All absolutely sublime. The exploration is top notch (I've gotten lost plenty of times, which is always a great sign), the combat feels meaty and polished, the dialogues are brilliant (what you click is what Jensen says, no ambiguous nonsense) and the atmosphere just oozes style and attention to detail. It's safe to say I love this game and I strongly believe it can become a true contender for Deus Ex.

And I'll quote myself again;

sabin1981 wrote:

I honestly believe, barring any massive failures still to come, it's going to take a seriously negative person to slam this game. Combat feels brilliant (you really CAN'T take more than 2-3 hits on Deus Ex difficulty, and the enemy flank you really well) and the dialogues/story are great. Some visual complaints, but nothing major and it does still look nice. Ambience is, so far, Deus Ex.

Also preordered after playing the preview version ;o
The first mission was pretty basic but as soon as i could explore the Sarif HQ (with all the classic Deus Ex pc and keypad hacking and vents) and the city instantly reminded me of Hong Kong I was sold. Even the stiff animations and low poly models didn't stop me Very Happy

The game looks great imo. I love the color composition (much better than i thought, looks super on my IPS screen), i really like the design, the clothes stands out as particularly good imo, and the faces has great design too (for main characters). Animations are quite weak, but i guess i'm so used to it from 90% of all other games that it doesnt distract.

I've just played a bit into the first real mission though.. The controlls doesnt feel that good, but it's maybe a matter of tweaking or its because its not a final build. But yes, this is a game i will be buying.
