Its weird, i get the stuttering in DX9 mode but none in the DX11 mode.
I am running a Gigabyte 460 GTX 1gb on the drivers released today.
Same card, same drivers, same experience
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I have strange constant stuttering as well with my 4870 even if the framerate is high (50+), similar to the one that I experienced in the Crysis 2 beta (the final built ran very smoothly though).
I'm going to reinstall the hotfix drivers and see if they can do something useful (I wanted to uninstall the beta.. but I think I'll end up finishing it )
edit: nah, as expected the latest drivers didn't fix the stuttering.
Notice that the lighting is better in the leak allowing far more detail in her dress to be shown BUT.. also notice the lack of SSAO from her hand. And the art director said he told the team to make the look of the game very SSAO heavy..
Unless the DX11 version has as much SSAO as in the trailer then this leak doesn't run at max settings...
Anyone wants to take a DX11 screenshot from this particular scene?

On the other hand, thankfully there's a lot less bloom now!!

5 missions total plus some side quest ! In this BETA!
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Just a note, the original image size was 2560x1440.. I just scaled it down to match the resolution of the other shots, that's why the text looks funky.

^ So there's the SSAO effect from her hand missing... Hm..

Played for about an hour or so just now. Damn it, what an amazing game. The amount of choices that you have on how to do missions and how to handle stuff/talk to people and how it all has consequences and people react to it. Freakin' EPIC! Also, I've had zero stuttering on DX9, solid 60+ FPS.

Yep.. no SSAO in DX 11 in this build.
I'm beginning to think that it is accurate to assume that what we're seeing in this preview graphics wise is not comparable to what we'll see in the final game.
I only hope the final game runs as well as this, but I don't see how if intensive effects like SSAO are missing

I think the trailer showed clips from the console version which is why it looks worse than the leaked copy that were playing for PC. If they showed some DX11 maxed out uber sampletastic gameplay footage, console kids would be like: "wtf game doesnt look as good as trailer. ive BEEN LIED TO!!!

There's some SSAO just not everywhere/pronounced. Other than that and the less bloom I think it looks the same as the trailers. I wouldn't expect significantly improved graphics. However I also remember EM/AMD said DX11 will have improved SSAO but the leak doesn't have an option for it, so at least we can look forward to that..

I'm not expecting a night and day difference. Imo, the game already looks good.. it's primarily the textures and models that look dated. The lighting, etc. looks very good.
I wouldn't be surprised to see higher resolution textures in the final build and maybe a bit more tessellation. If it released looking like this, I wouldn't mind in the least, though.
If it's the refresh rate that some other person mentioned you can (As with Tom Raider.) find the settings under the registry.
HKey_Local_User/Software/Eidos/Deus Ex HR/ (Here's the game options.)
And then under the sub "folder" Graphics you have the visual options.
Not much to adjust outside of the launcher but has some options worth tinkering with I guess, tripple buffering is on by default though although you can fine tune the refresh rate and some other stuff in more detail here, unsure what each option does though.
That's weird and somewhat annoying I'd say, thought it just ran once and then you would need to manually launch it.
Unfortunately instead of a reg key controlling if the setup utility has launched it seems it's based on changes like monitor or gpu or similar (Refresh rate, resolution, DX11 availability and such for example.)
