Don't worry it's just elitism..
The Witcher's combat did fucking suck, they made some major strides in Witcher 2 and thusly making it immensly more playable
i'm tempted to say Portal 2 since replay value is pretty weak, hopefully some DLC's will change that. I got alot more hours playing Left 4 Dead 2 than this and i rarely touch that game, but i got alot more for less than 10 euros than i got from Portal 2.

The old Peter Molyneaux game Black and White. I remember Pc gamer followed its development for years and they hyped it immensly. But the game was very boring.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

Actually I regret buying L4D, eventhough I had fun with the game it made me royally pissed when they announced L4D2 like only a year after. Mostly because I knew it wouldn't get the support it was promised to get. I think Valve really took a cheap shoot there...

@Interactive: oh believe me it was.. Everytime you died some mysterious voice would also shout out "SOLDNAR!" just to remind you what the title is of this shit game you are now playing, in case you had somehow forgotten. That in itself became very annoying and very quickly when you would die from the bugs and glitches just as much as from other players.
The idea was good, just the execution was really really bad.

Doom 3. Even imported the US version. After I downloaded and played it. I just fucking hate backtracking :'( Maybe I should give it a try. The alpha was god-like

Doom 3. Massive disappointment. What a truly horrible game, which could have been made better if it wasn't for the uber-plastic textures and the insane pitch-black visuals.

Doom 3, well for me it wasn't so much the textures. But what a heck? If you have an awesome game engine why hide the thing in pitch-black 98.9% of the time?? Also while the story was okay-ish, the monster in the closet and other stuff just killed it. Mostly my disappointment there are that the game COULD had been a great game..but wasn't, and it wasn't even a techdemo for the engine because you couldn't see squat.

I completely agree on the missions part, what I really liked about the game was the free roaming and the grapple-hook/parachute mechanic...
Cruising through the islands at sunset/sunrise was actually pretty relaxing for me, almost therapeutic after working my ass all day.

Awesome game engine? Ran like shit for 3-4 months until it was patched, everything looked like it was made of plastic; the only thing that WAS great WAS the goddamn shadows
