I'm using the Nvidia 275.27 beta on Win7 64bit and my GPU sounds like a Jet engine when running this game.

I have tried to enable v-sync as that caps the frame rate to 60 (the limit of my monitor) but still the gpu is hot and noisy.

I have had success with keeping the temps down by enabling vsync for other games, but in this case, no difference.

Is it because my GPU is already working at full load trying to run the game? I can run Witcher 2 maxed out (without UberAA) and get a pretty good frame rate ranging from 30 and up 60.

My 295gtx is also running extremely hot, around 70 degrees. Doesn't happen with any other game than with Witcher 2.

This is just because the game is properly using the card to the maximum.

There might be some specific setting to help reduce it though, I didn't notice it happens on high settings, only on ultra.

Yeah this game taxes the gpu to max during cutscenes for me 100% usage so my gtx 260 tops over 90c and the fanspeed is running at 75% already which is crazy..

70 is not hot for a gfx card..

Depends which, my 8800gtx was overheating and downclocking itself at 80. In any case, it's the highest temp I've gotten so far, fan is working like crazy that's for sure.

maybe get a new gpu fan or atleast clean it to remove dust and apply some proper cooling paste on the gpu core.
