I liked "the others" a little, but it wasnt scary. And the first 30 mins of Insidious. Good horror movies are hard to find, because they all end up in extreme cgi way.
As for Hellraiser, yeah, when I was a kid, it wasnt easy for me to watch it due to extreme graphics scenes. Hellraiser wasnt scary, but gory. To me it equals to "Saw" movies which I hate.

Oh I remembered there was another one which I liked: "Tourist Trap" 1979. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080040/
Its pretty good, though the name is very generic these days.

Saw isn't scary though. Hellraiser is scary due to the fact that it isn't just random gore thrown in your face.

Well, yeah imo first Hellraiser movies are way better than Saw movies. Fact is I just dont like extreme gore and torture. Make no mistake, I would still gladly torture Cheney, but I just don't like when somebody else tortures him.

The scene in the tent was scary. Children and donkeys [?] making noises in the woods really was chilling.

I got some cheap scares watching this at about 3am the other night...

The Tunnel

funny it kind of reminded me of a 'lost footage' version of this movie:

Surprised

I'm watching it right now, so far so good.

EDIT: 7/10, that was pretty good.

This seems almost like a complete rip off of that other movie where this group goes to explore the old Russian metro and then they get killed down in there.

Which, BTW, was a pretty scary movie.

dunno about scary as i've never found a film to scare & i've watched horror films since a kid, more dark atmospheric to me than scary.

one of my faves is darkness (releasesd in 2002) if i remember correctly theres a directors cut,not sure whats extra or different, been years since i watched it & my memory sucks lol.

heres trailer & imdb

From what I've seen, there are no really good horror movies. So I'm looking for a good one. And I watch horror movies at daytime too. But mostly when its dark. Daytime might take like 5% of the scaryness factor, but scary movie is scary movie.

watching horror movies at daytime = useless and better not watching them at all.
you also watch them while chatting or what?

Well, I dedicated my short night to watching one of the new torrent-distributed and fan-budgeted horror movies - The Tunnel. It was OK-ish. Had scarcely dispersed scary moments but it wasn't very satisfactory. 6/10 would suit it well. The atmosphere was superb and especially the ambient sound. These two factors keep the movie afloat, in my opinion.

If the horror movie is scary it would scare me anytime. In daytime, as I said, a little little less. The tunnel just didnt clicked on me. I can go right now to old cemetaries in my town with the video camera and would shoot 10X scarier movie. In fact I once went there and dragged human jaw bones out of the graves. That tunnel movie is very amateurish. Using darkness, boring tunnel and cheap sfx does not scare me at all. Maybe I'm used to horror so I don't get scared anymore.

95% of the movies in this topic are not horror movies for me, A serbian movie and Martyrs are the only ones that justify this topic.

Martyrs was a never ending gore and torture which was not worth a question to not be answered at the end.
I havent seen this serbian movie, but from the trailer here: it seems like a porn flick. Reminds me of Brazzers Saw parody. Laughing

If you're looking for a horror movie, I'd suggest to avoid it Laughing

There's not a real plot/tension/good atmosphere, and not a lot happens except for the (very) disturbing random scenes put there just to shock the viewer Wink

Are the girls hot in that movie? What pisses me off about the foreign movies is that I have to read subtitles carefully like a book. So I thought if this movie is basically porn then I can even turn off the volume and listen to some tunes. Cool Face
