i did try and install beta dash with my sam spoofed drive the update just gets to about 90 percent and does no more switch console off in the end drive still loads backups etc
guess us with spoofed drives are fucked
i also have another 360 liteon witch came with the 360 latest LT+ guess i can update this one but i wanted to keep one for backups and one for legit
might end up getting another 360 slim for legit use

So even if you don't have your original drive key, you can still get it using this tool?
I'm currently on IXtreme 1.60 on a Lite-On 7xxx series drive without the original key. So I can update to the latest dashboard, it will reset my current IXtreme firmware back to stock, I'll then need to hook my DVD drive to my PC's SATA port, use your tools to get the key (without using a CK3 probe kit) from the new stock flashed drive, use Jungle Flasher and get IXtreme firmware loaded once again, correct?

No worries. I was planning on flashing the drive on my own this time, but the drive key and the "tray half open" are the only 2 aspects that would be a hindrance for me. Probably best to wait for a new IXtreme firmware which takes care of all this XGD3 and AP 2.5 mumbo jumbo OR just fuck it and get a JTAG.
EDIT: A member, on one of the forums I visit, just PM'd me saying that his friend has an Arcade JTAG'able console for sale. It's a Zephyr motherboard. Aren't Zephyr's supposed to be the refurb replacement boards? or am I confusing them with Opus? If the dashboard version is lower than 7371, should I bite the bullet?

just got a message about a system update.
Now I have one of the first 360s flashed it years and years ago, never been banned or detected etc etc.
Just updated (or tried to) got a red light and a black screen with bblah blah blah E64 error.
So did I get banned or something, back on the dashboard now but no xbox live.

E64: DVD Drive Error - Dvd drive timed out during reset :Wrong firmware, dvd is without f/w chip, etc. This can also be caused by the tray not being fully closed on boot. also it could mean that the Kernel can't be launched/signature in NAND Flash chip is broken It could be possible after bad update. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry4156375 This might also be caused by a bad SATA cable. |

Sounds like a spoofed drive being flashed with the wrong stock firmware.

So what is this shit about getting the xbox needs repairing message and you're blocked or banned? I just looked back 3 pages and didn't see anything. I have a friend who said he went to connect to live with his modded console and got some message along those lines. Said he called customer service and got the modded console spiel.
I've looked over xbox-scene and googled but not seeing anything definitive on the subject.

It ended up not updating, because of the error. So it could be any of those reasons?

Perhaps it's the same with this as with ap25.. Hitachi's and some Samsungs not supporting it and therefore remain unaffected.

As long as you have the original key you *should* be good to go. JF will inject your key in a "blank" firmware and upload it to the drive.

My silm 0225 firmware box just got updated tonight, still waiting on testing for the new lt+ for that one. Haven't plugged my benq in since i heard about the new update coming out, just playing offline till c4eva finishes it.

Mmmm, seems the profile-switcheroo hack for the new dash is possible, or at least this started floating around:
XBox 360 - Profile noJTAG 13416
(I assume it's a typo and they meant 13146) anyone tryed? (I've yet to update, will wait for LT+ 2.0 before doing so)
