Does anyone know a way to make this game work on Win7 ?
for those asking what problem i have :
it freezes on the second screen after loading console you get a picture with some information , on that screen it freezes and does nothing
no the console command didn't help and no not even new physx drivers or the noopenal fix

I had no problems playing Sacred 2 and the add-on on Windows 7 64-bit.. I was about to suggest PhysX (for amazing flying leaves!  ), but I see you have already tried that.

the thing is Leo you will not get problems with Sacred 2 Gold if your on 2.40 but from 2.43 and up they fucked up the Win7 x64 and Win7 compatibility ... WTF you fuck ,serves you right that you bankrupted grrr
Sacred 2 pirated editon... works fine on x64
install Fire and Ice pirated edition .. works FINE ON X64
add patch 2.43 or 2.63 YOUR FUCKED AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHH even the community patch based on the LULZ WE HATE WIN7 patch still goes "fuck you" on windows 7
BUT FUCK ME CRAZY ORIGINAL GOLD EDITION DOES NOT FUCKING WORK ... AAAAAGGHHH take a fucking educated guess WHY!!
never again will i buy a pc game , fuck it ... at lest i can go return in on monday add 10 quid more and get the PS3 version that FUCKING WORKS
mods can Lock this topic ... PC gaming failed me again

I used 2.65 crack and it worked on Win7 x64.
Console version of this game is teh suck.

the console version is not that bad , finished it with all characters in both light and dark campaigns
people only say bad things about it because of the streaming every 200m you get a 2-3 sec loading and a freeze when it loads the map ... thats it , it was not a issue for me

Ice & Blood (2.65.2 being the latest but 2.64 being what is needed.) solves or rather it minimizes a issue the developers created in 2.43 with how the game is incompatible with Vista and Higher and especially x64 due to a very severe memory leak.
Disabling PhysX really improves the situation and as always the "elite" textures can't be used due to the poor cache handling (300 MB or so internal cache, stuttering increases noticeable and eventually the game reaches the 1.8 or so GB RAM utilization roof and crashes, usually within 20 to 30 minutes, less if PhysX is enabled.)
Anyway Ice & Blood should resolve the situation but PhysX and Elite needs to be off, also try the community update, fixes some bugs and restores stuff like the x-mas island but also adds some other stuff you might not have wanted.

Ah I forgot to write out the rest of the post, sorry.
Basically what I was trying to get at but missed is that how the patches improve the situation somewhat but it'll never really fix the problem.
(Unless you alt tab every ten to twenty minutes or so to clear the game cache by force as Windows will unload that data when doing such, there was a discussion on their forums and even a little program that made a "bing" type bell sound when it climbed over 1.5 GB of RAM usage prompting a alt-tab as it would otherwise crash shortly afterwards.)
