(Ubersampling reduced from 2x samples to 1x which still ensure a min framerate of roughly 35 or so, shadows and texture max res doubled and memory VRAm budget doubled and LOD also raised somewhat.)

You don't get considerable muddying of textures? I tried this config with a 1gb 6950 and the textures were substantially worse than the normal high settings.
Thats the activation patch its part of the copyprotection. the 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 patches are not includet in the skidrow release they are about 400 mb and only activated copys can download them atm .
JBeckman has original game, and his version is 1.0.6041 too, just like skidrow release after patcher.

IIRC someone said he imported a save and got only 200, not 200k.
EDIT: It was Chiv. How many did you have in W1, maybe the exact ammount is transfered.

Ultra, without uber sampling, runs pretty well (i don't know how many FPS are there but i guess its over 30 no stuttering or anything of that sort, occasionally 0,5s lag. And the game looks good even great i would say.
But lack of mouse invert LOL how could they forget about that

fucking shit, one hit from tentacle and im at 10% hp, doesnt help that the yrden traps never seem to work either. and once it gets "angry" it's impossible to dodge the attacks and you die every fucking time.
is there any way other then the anti-poison potion you can use? this shit is harder then the fucking NES/SNES games 15 years ago...

Trap the tentacles that have glowing sacks on them and once he collapses the bridge on him, use dodge to climb it, he'll hit like a motherfucker. Been spending the last two hours trying to defeat him, fuck me, it was hard.

After 3rd tentacle you climb on him. But what then? He smashes you to wall and you are dead. Worst thing is you always have to repeat it, at this point I wish there were boss checkpoints

Lol, as I supposed, my old-ass 8800gts can't handle the game for shit. Even at lowest settings it's a slideshow when in battles.
Damn, I got used to automatically max every settings out with all the console ports we've been getting this past few years, but this game shattered the illusion of having a 3yo card that performs as good as the latest ones

1.0.0.1 is the Russian 300 MB monster update as it's pretty broken without it for some strange reason, not that odd though as the Russian clone had a lot of files missing in comparison to this and the current release day patch to fix some remaining issues.
(Was explained earlier by another user.)
As to the above quote about texture clarity "Ubersampling" really increases texture detail and it's enabled at the higher settings so that's likely why my config appears blurrier since from testing =1 seems to disable it even if =0 is what it says when it's set from the config program. (=2 when enabled.)
EDIT: Not the best comparison and not my images either but on/off Uber and on Ultra comparison.
thecracker skidrow does have the latest patch included because i have bought it from gog and i have the same exe version as the skidrow does (that 1.0.0.1 you don't need 300 mb+ because that's for the russian version)

I have the same cpu E8400 @3.0GHz and Ati 4870 512MB @ 1920x1080 all maxed 20fps UberSampling off. I can play on medium with 30-40 fps.
