It burned and installed fine here, but fails the disk check after the compulsory reboot.

That was burned onto a 80 min CDRW at 4x following the instructions in the nfo with a Liteon LTR-52246s using Alcohol 120% version 1.9.2 (build 1705)

Rather than wearing out your CD-RW, has anyone tried what I said above? Use the .exe from the demo and load saved games?

Panzers runs fine like that. .

There is only one serial for the EU and one for the US, but i tried both just in case.

Uninstalling alcohol didn't seem to have any effect either, but thank you for your suggestion.

Looks like my Liteon CD burner won't reproduce/read starforce3 Sad

Is there a list of burners/readers anywhere that do support starforce 3 burning/reading?

The demo used StarForce3 and I've never heard of an exe for a demo working with the full version? I should be getting my copy of the game tommorow in the post, hopefully it doesn't disappoint Smile

most likely because its a german release
and pretty hard to find because it aint spread that much as a release from FLT or Dev or Razor and all the rest

i've now hand chance to play around a little with this release.

I've tried to burn it on 10 different occasions on my lite-on burner using a variety of different media (but always using the instructions in the nfo), but the disc still fails to pass the disk check when read on either the lite-on burner, my pioneer dvd-r or the no-name cd drive in my laptop.

Out of interest, how long should the disc check take? as it gets to 50% on my machine really quickly but then the drive keeps slowing down and spinning up again for the last 50% before i get the error message suggesting that the key on the disc doesn't match the one i have entered.

Oh well, unless anyone has any additional suggestions, i wish you all better luck with this release than i have had.

here is bios for my cddrive lite-on 52327S, i have newest but didn`t try to run any sf3 game yet, because i don`t have any. But soon i`ll try soldiers .

I don't think that will help, SF3 probably checks the atip of the disc burners can read atip info so SF3 knows its an CD-r disc instead of original ,just use an cdrom or dvdrom drive when play the game.

i dont think the alcohol clones are working 100%

They do work, it just requires very specific circumstances (ie. special hardware, configuration etc.) - this makes it largely inaccesible to the scene, and that's why it's not listed on nforce at all.

But it works for me, so I'm happy. But then again, I don't really care anymore, seeing as I got the original in the mailbox yesterday Smile

No, it certainly does not work for everyone, that's already been established. Can we move on now?
