A thought... The GOG version is billed as a 'no DRM version'. Thus maybe it would be better to wait for that to release and get distributed. No paul.dll AV false positives and other crap. Updating should be simple since no DRM in the way?
I find the difficulty refreshing instead of having it be Babysit, Babysit and Normal like most games these days. I've died like 10 times and only just got to chapter 1 on hard.

I have a GTX 570 with OC'ed i5-2500k CPU yet I only get 30 FPS with all settings on low at 1920x1080. Anyone else have this problem? On Ultra I get 5-10 FPS.

Check for forced super sample AA or something...make it app control.

I don't have anything forced in Nvidia control panel, and I'm not getting issues in other games so I have no idea what the problem is. I do notice that my GPU usage is 25-45% when in-game but then again I don't know why that is.
The game is awesome.Fighting system is finally good.Its quite heavy though even in low settings i have a drop of fps but its managable.I hope they will release patches to optimize a bit.
Uhm, I picked up so much stuff in the prologue. A mutagen included. Now I'm in the dungeon (escaping) but it seems that I dont get my stuff back. Do you even get your stuff back or is the mutagen lost now? Should I have drank it right when I got it? I hope not... otherwise I'll a have to replay a huge part of the prologue -.-

(Ubersampling reduced from 2x samples to 1x which still ensure a min framerate of roughly 35 or so, shadows and texture max res doubled and memory VRAm budget doubled and LOD also raised somewhat.)
It seems I have to skip the whole game this time and wait till I get a better pc. My HD5770 and OC'd Phenom 9550 just can't take it, can't get my fps to stable 30 even with lowest settings on my native resolution of 1280x1024. :\

That's weird. I'm running it in 1680x1050 with AMD 7750BE and OC'ed HD4850 in W7 with no problems. Somewhere between low and mid spec though.
