With the risk of repeating myself.. Anyone mananged to make the troll.dlc file work with the skidrow version? I can send the link to someone to verifiy in-game if you reached the first town and if the quest appears.

I'm still in the prologue.

I just got to first town, so if you need to verify tell me what to do Smile

Btw. the combat for me is very challenging. In a tutorial/prologue I died quite a few times on few specific encounters.

Well, as soon as I posted that message I tried it after I disabled norton internet security and it works. Works like a dream. Seems norton wont let me copy and paste that particular file and will delete it as soon as its enabled. Norton must in working with the game developers now or some shit

Absolutely magnificent game! So far it's exactly what I've been expecting: a polished gem.

Also, from a techincal point of view, it seems the engine is spectacular, both in terms of visuals and performance. No random/weird FPS drops, no lag, clearly a good ol' PC game style.

Hopefully it will stay this way until the end. Smile

P.S.

For those with dual OS, like me (meaning WinXP / Win 7), this game runs better (read smoother) on Win 7. Not such a big surprise here though. Wink

I tend to play some (older) games also on WinXP, as some of them run better on this old OS.

CDune, I am not sure that letting the game update itself is a good idea... Afaik Skids included the released patch into their "patcher".

Fuck you, Triss and your fantastic ass. Also, something about great visual detail, awesome combat and more RPG than the whole DA2 in the prologue alone.

You don't even have to actually play the prologue. Just walk out of the tent and make a screenshot. This screenshot alone takes a huge crap on DA2.

If you've got Windows Vista or Windows 7, AV is built-in. AFAIK.

I tried both of those options, but will install for the third time now and use the skidrow patcher again. Not sure what I 'missed' on the last pages, read everything thouroughly!

Hm, no idea what else to suggest. Try disconnecting your PC from the net when launching the game? Very Happy

Additionally clean your PC, use CrapCleaner, SpyBot 2.0, check your startup programs and kill unnecessary crap there... etc.

If all fails, buy the damn game. Still fail? Buy a new PC! It's ALL WORTH IT!!1 Razz

I'm using Avast since several years now. Never had any technical problems with it. At least none which couldn't have been solved with a single click.
