I spent about 6 hours the first time round. I had no blanks left for Disc 2 so started Disc 1 again yesterday as I wasn't happy with my performance the first time. This time I skipped through a lot of the cutscenes as I knew what was happening and I'd say I probably managed to get through Disc 1 in about 3, maybe 4 hours.

Im really enjoying this except for the interrogation parts, sometimes i get them pretty much spot on with only a few incorrect answers, but just as I think I'm getting the hang if it I start failing to get any responses right.
For instance I'm early on at the fallen Idol case and when talking to the driver I can't seem to get any right, it's more like trial and error.

I guess I just suck!!

I've been playing for a while now (almost finished disc 1) and I think it's a great game 9/10. Only letdown for me is that there is no way to get stuck. The cases keep continuing, even if you do almost everything wrong. Will this change later on?

It's a nice movie with just enough gameplay to carry it.

Personally, I think the open world is largely wasted. Better they focused on the movie experience fully.

I was hoping for a much less rigid progression, and a much more involving free-roaming world. Not expecting - but hoping.

I might as well just watch a bunch of movies. Still, some of the interaction is novel and can pave the way to a stronger future for this kind of game.

I agree, it's a little inconsistent. There's plenty of times I've thought a certain piece of evidence was relevant to what was just said but when you choose it, it's wrong.

I'm loving the shit out of this game Very Happy I'm the same as some of you... sometimes you think you have a spot-on piece of evidence, but the "lie" answer fails - invariably ending up being "doubt" due to the evidence not being as relevant as you thought Laughing Still, the game is brilliant fun. Old school detective work with some action interspersed to keep it engaging.

I do agree that the cars feel more floaty then they did in GTA4 (oh and the similarities between this supposed in-house engine and RAGE are... well... it's pretty much indistinguishable) but overall the game looks great, feels great, sounds great, plays great.

Now it's time to sit back and bathe in the salty tears of the "Elite Race" who don't have the game, therefore it's derp crap Laughing

it annoys me that there really isn't any different look on their faces from lie and doubt, and sometimes also truth can seem a bit off

Doubt is the same as lie, but you don't need evidence to back up your doubt suspicion. You need evidence for truth and lie.

Meh, pretty sure I missed some evidence Sad

Heh I had to play this one a few times to figure it out too. Listen to the question, pay attention to what it is they are asking and then ask yourself - what could they be using to do that? If you still want to know check the spoiler. I may still not have gotten it if it wasn't for figuring out intuition crosses certain items off your list when proving a lie. Thought it only eliminated one of your answers Smile

There is a "correct choice" and "wrong choice" music that plays after you picked the line of questioning.

1 caveat is that when you pick "Lie", picking the wrong evidence also plays the "wrong choice" music. So when you pcik Lie and it's wrong, you aren't sure if it's because you picked the wrong evidence or if you had to pick Doubt or Truth.

Some of the interrogations are bullshit. You're meant to be listening to the interviewees responses and their facial movements - however in one situation, guy says "I don't know ANYONE who would want to hurt my wife. . .", which I'm thinking "This guy is holding out, someones threatened his wife. . ." Nope - real answer is it's a lie, and you accuse him because of a piece of rope found.

Now of course, the rope is pretty damning but the way he framed his response wouldn't lead me to jump out with the "Omg same rope - YOU DID IT!"

If they had an Achievement for playing with ALL hint systems off, I thi nk I'd get an average of 3/4-stars, with me madly chasing down Street Crime to build up ranks and Intuition points on the side.

man I am shit at interviews. I cannot tell when they are lying, and I never know which piece of evidence to use. It's starting to piss me off actually.

Would be cool if after an interview you can re-do it from the start

@ixigia

it's alright man you're not missing a whole lot. i mean it's a good game and worth playing but it's not like missing out on RDR or something along those lines. the guy who posted that the environment looked flat and uninteresting hit the nail on the head. i was expecting the whole game to be one story and all the cases to add up to the conclusion of whodunnit or who's the bad guy but so far that's not the case. like i said tho it's still good and worth playing, so far anyway. i've just reached the end of disc 1.

i knew it wasn't going to be a RDR or GTA type of game but i was hoping the environment and driving would at least be somewhat similar but to me they're not. imagine if you had a gta with the facial animation and story from this game... that would be awesome. hopefully they're on to something good.

i think it wont be too bad to have to wait or just borrow a friend's xbox for a week and play it.
