i read all u said guys and i must say that sfxx is a virus and i have experienced a case where i have installed a sf3 game (cossacks 2) and the mcaffee 9 went crazy (thats why they say "turn of all other programms plus antivirus") also the stability of the machine isnt too good after the installation and i had to make a reinstallation of the xp also i want to remind u a question what will happen in the next release of the new windows with everything changed? my possible guess is that the most games of the sfxxxx protection will go dead and the money of the customers will fly away also there is the backup right which the sf prot. removes it from the customer.
As a conclusion i say i voted SAFEDISK which gives the customer the right of the backup+the stability of the system without any HIDDEN DRIVERS AND SERVICES which u canot stop them and the safety of the future that they will play also with other releases of windows.

after i installed trackmania sunrise there was no way to use my usb pen drive and the sd/xd memory card reader... no way, i tried disinstalling the game, using the starforce removal tool... nothing, i had to type the magical letters c:/format c and press enter...
i'm not gonna repeat the mistake of buying a starforce game... if this means that i'll play only guild wars for the following months, it's ok to me, no sf3 drivers again on my sistemm this means no full games, no demo, nothing...
I'M fed up with this shit, seriously.

SF3 is really a virus... and of all the things you wrote the most important I think is the one with the OS... because even now ppl with Win2k have serious problems with SF3 games...every update of the game has to be prepared for each system, cause drivers don't work with all the Windows Systems.... when the new Windows arrives probably most of the SF3 games won't work... That's a sad true... I only hope that Game Devs will stop using SF3 when they realize how much trouble it gives... Ubi Soft used Tages for two or three of it's games... lets hope that with SF3 will be the same...

Nothing but a serial, and any updates would require that serial be able to download
those updates /patches.

Perhaps your buddy needs to read the box? |
i don't have this game and didn't check it. you may be right but why the publisher told him to 'wait for the update' then??? don't they read own boxes?

They may be adding compatibility with 9x in a later update, it's not unknown.
