Why did they decide to release it on a Tuesday anyway? Seems an odd choice. Surely a Friday would have been better to give people the weekend to play it uninterrupted? Well for those of you that get weekends off at any rate.

Our calendar ends every fuckin' year since we started to use it centuries ago, and the world never ended from 31 December to 1 January (maybe for some that party too hard). I bet that in 2013 you'll say that there was some bad interpretation with the Mayan calendar and the new date is 2020 and the nonsense will continue. The amount of times people predicted the end of the world is astonishing. Why don't they just kill themselves? I guarantee it ends there, for them.

i would like to offer an alternate hypothesis.
what if the world did end at the end of the year, except it ended with some kind of temporal explosion creating a rift in time and space when the universe ended, that makes us relive our last year of life, over and over and over and over again for the rest of eternity, without ever having any memory of the time loop...
..i think i just made myself sad...

Yes, thats true, our calendars ended several times, but no one ever foretell anything in it, but mayans calendar is full of foretells which was true so far.. so what reason I have to not beleive it now?

I think I asked this question, but I didin't get the answer I think. Sorry if I missed it. How are the Steam servers when a big game is released? I never bought a game at day one before, so I have no experience with it. I remember with HL2 people couldn't download properly for a few days.
