They're also whining that they're speaking Polish instead of English.

I wish the game was Polish with subtitles only because of retards like that Laughing

Do you need to have PayPal to buy on GoG? I selected Visa/Master Card but it keeps fucking going to PayPal page and asking to make an account.

Yay for retarded "black glow" (badly implemented) SSAO, the cancer of modern video game graphics.

It was said it's still being tweaked at the time of that build, plus you can disable it as the options file I posted earlier (From that Russian release.) shows, you can also see some dithering errors this causes in several earlier images posted. Smile

EDIT: Or you can give the player control over sample and quality as per Amnesia with it's little SSAO slider from 2x up to 128x ensuring it's demanding on future machines as well. Smile
(Most games using like 4x to 8x I would assume, Brink uses 4x, though as I discovered later, via HBAO.)

Ah sure, I have no doubts it can be disabled. Just saying. Instead of adding proper shading and shadowing, developers these days put that ugly and particularly cheap (on the GPU) SSAO implementations which look very bad in most cases.
Interestingly, there is SSAO in the new Shogun 2 patch, and absolutely looks great, nothing like most implementations. Smile

Nice, got the codes from the site I ordered for the DLC stuff. It will probably be easily implemented in the not-so-legal version I think.

True, I imagine what with HDR, SSAO, AO, HBAO, HDAO and many other (That can at times work together.) light calculations and render possibilities you can fine tune it pretty well though as you say most games are a bit over aggressive (But for good reason as it's the most performance draining setting in nearly all games allowing it.) so it's not very precise or how it's measure (per-pixel AO HDAO HDR? hah.)

I like the effect in general but you do notice flaws such as these pretty easily if examining the environments and affected objects closer, I guess DX11 and Direct Compute might help accelerate performance better though which should help for future games at least. Smile
(Once hardware becomes more mainstream and DX9 actually removed, but that is years from now still and the cycle repeats again with DX12+ and OpenGL5+ from current systems, heh.)

EDIT: Yeah I have a few plans for the preload files but we'll see, it's pretty easy to work with.
(Setup.exe being the missing component.)

I downloaded about 2 GB so far, the only thing there is in the download directory are these 50 MB chunk files, probably made by the download manager. I'll report when the whole game is downloaded.

It's a bit silly actually, it's the full installer at 2GB files (Without the manager, it splits it further.) with the installer removed, thing is Inno doesn't normally need the installer to unpack.
(Own a game on GoG? seen the \0 \1 \2 they do for files? same with Witcher and that gives the name - file isn't available and won't be until the 17th - of the installer exe as the only thing missing.)

I never bought a game on Steam at day one and I was under the impression all games on Steam had preload. Guess I was wrong. Why is it GoG exclusive? Does Steam get buttraped when a new big game is released? I doubt I'll download it teh moment it's released, but it would be really shit if I need two days to download at 50kB/s.
Is the NA version of the game premium too? When do I get those premium goodies?
