In a recent interview one of the devs said that, from the data they collected, the most used camera was the chase one, and the majority of the players played on easy mode.
Now try to make a RBR clone with that statistic and make major profit.
It's a cash cow, nothing more. It exists to suck the money from the derps.
P.S: He also said that they are adding a very easy mode to accomodate those having trouble with the easy mode, which, according to them, were plenty.

Yeah, it doesn't look much different from Dirt 2 in terms of handling/level of realism; hopefully the game will have amazing Gymkhana sessions that will preserve the fun
Actually had my cousin over yesterday while I watching some WRC highlights (still need to find a good stream ), and he thought Ken Block was the best rally driver in the world because he's got these games around his name.
Obviously I fixed that, that's one more youngster saved from total derpness
Well Dirt 3 has dropped the Colin McRae tag, and Dirt 2 was advertised without it - Block is the one getting most attention in them + on Youtube with his Gymkhana crap. My cousin's got no clue who people like Burns, Sainz, Vatanen or Mäkinen are/were; not even Loeb
who ever said that Ken Block was the best? i never saw that Dirt 2 advertisment. besides it's not like Ken Block is the only one who was featured in Dirt2. remember Travis Pastrana, Tanner Foust, and Dave Mirra?
after Colin Mcrea's death they needed some names, who would you have picked? and remember for what market they were aiming.
i myself enjoyed Dirt2 very much, although i'm not a big Rally fan. or maybe because of that, it's one of those times when streamlining a product and making it more appealing to bigger markets, actually succeeds. i hated the earlier Colin rally games, they were too realistic for me.

Those names don't appeal to the European market at all, so you're saying they focused on the US market? Because in Europe, the UK has a massive console player base (sorry to the few Brits on the hump, but your island is part of the derp invasion!) and none of those names will mean anything.
What they should have done, is take at least one name from the WRC along. Not just as a competitor in the game (because I believe some are in now, like Loeb?), but as one of the key figures. Perhaps a past winner, perhaps the dominating French bastard (), but some well known figure at least. At least they got more RALLY in the RALLY game this time, just a shame it looks like driving mechanics are still shit :/
