Yeah, let's show them it's worth doing a DRM-free version of the game and pirate it!

Like i said i pre-ordered the russian Collector's Edition a long time ago + gonna grab a normal edition at one of the early launch parties.

Just stating the facts about no crack required.

BTW seems like the russian publisher is seriously pissed at the leak - they are trying to verify whether some shop really sold copies or the unpacking video was made by some employee.

How am I a hypocrite? Yes, I download games, but I don't find an excuse like "DRM sucks". The last game I DLed was Bullestorm. I even bought AC2. I simply buy games/franchises that I like.

And I definitely agree that people should buy gems like this, because they're most probably the last bastion of AAA PC games.

I pre-ordered it too. But I don't point my finger at others if they pirate it since "Yes, I download games" too. Doesn't matter why they'll do it. They'll just do it.
Anyways, you surely know what I mean...

PS: Imho, buying AC2 (PC) is as bad as pirating TW2 Cool Face

Makes sense to be a bit on the paranoid side... CDP have already vowed, often, to really nail pirates of TW2.

Here's just one example;

However, the Polish developer is hoping to counteract these illicit acquisitions by more doggedly pursuing those who play the game illegally. CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwiński recently told Eurogamer that "we are signing with legal firms and torrent sneaking companies" to hunt down gamers who download The Witcher 2 unlawfully.

My post might have steered a bit too much into the lulz territory(or tried to) but that's exactly what I was talking about.
I think that I'll wait a long, loooong time before DL'ing this.

Hell, might even try and finish the original and if I find it as good as people say straight out buy this one.
Amazon just mailed tempting me with the Premium Edition for £24,91, it's not as if the game is particularly expensive.

If I'm not totally mistaken, wasn't the first game ALSO in the middle of an anti-piracy scandal? Something about a law firm sending people angry letters demanding lots of money for downloading TW1?

Not that I remember. You sure you aren't getting mixed up with Two Worlds? IIRC they went after alleged pirates.

It's also missing data. Apparently the game downloads about 50mb of data on release day.

Witcher 2 Premium for 23 euro. Probably in PL, but whatever.

Even if it is PL, all language versions will be available free of charge if you register the game, so you can download english voice acting if you like.
