Bought some new PC parts (Intel i7 2600k, Asus P8P67-M MB, 2 x 4 GB) and had to reinstall Win7 (x86 -> x64).
Yep I finally joined the 64 bits generation.
Same thing that bothered me with Win7 x86 is that the keyboard input seems flawed. Dutch language uses diacritical glyphs:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diacritic
Like: Dutch - English
coöptatie - cooptation
kopiëren - copy
één - one
This is my setup for the "Text services and Input Languages":
Using an US int. keyboard with Dutch input language should give me the following possibilities:
~ + a = ã - does not work
` + e = è - works
" + o = ö - does not work
' + e = é - works
" + e = ë - does not work
This functionality used to work as sunshine in XP but fucking hell in Win7 it doesn't.
Anyone has an idea how to solve this (besides advising me to go back to XP)?
I have "English (United States) - United States-International" as default input language and the mentioned diacritical glyphs work (I need them for brazilian portuguese).
