Btw when the fuck will they fix gamespy? 1v1 direct ip with 50 ping works fine with 1k guys battling, but hosting in the gamespy lobby the same dude and i get 600 ping and gets the "waiting for.." all the time nonstop until it goes out of synch...
I never ever believed the guys yelling "gamespy suuuuucks" because come on, its just supposed to connect people to eachother right? So it cant be blamed for anything!

And the graphics, lol... 30 tanks are ALWAYS faster to render than 300 tanks. No exceptions. And have you even seen the animation? hands and feet animating ffs ;O in an rts :O
Besides, ive noticed that what causes the lategame choppyness is NOT the graphics on maximum, its the AI for each unit, just as in Rome Total War, try to pause the game and move around and you'll see. CPU is what counts here.

So this game have direct connect option? No legit cd key required or gamespy stuff?

Well, yes, but why play via gamespy? so yep there is a direct connect option, its in the same menu as the LAN games I've tried dozens of games via the gamespy lobby and the private server patch, always crazy huge ping, even if people are in the same country with 10/10 connections, "waiting for..." ingame and after a maximum of 20min everyone drops out. But playing with the SAME people in direct ip outside of gamespy, works perfect. I understand why everyone hates gamespy now. i never use all seeing eye or gamespy for strategy games, these are games where 2-4 players are enough so i always play them with friends. in fact its by far more fun playing with ppl you know, but sute in games like battlefield you need as many players as possible so you just pick the biggest server in all seeing eye and play. btw, empire earth 2 is the best strategy game available for pc imo, i do like tomance of the three kingdoms 8 a bit more, but still this game is just epic, you can deploy huge amounts of units, in various epochs, plus this game is far more complex than any rts out there. only starcraft can maybe compare a little bit, but when i think of warcraft and c&c i can just laugh.
