That type of toilet could be seen in various eastern european countries too some years ago.
Most people changed to normal EU toilets in recent years tho.
Atleast thats my experience from toiletting in various countries.

That is my kind of toilet yes! I was surprised to learn some Western countries had toilets with a different design. Because the poo won't go down the drain instantly you can take a look at it yes. And that's how I saw my log was 30-40cm 
It's not all disgusting because your poo tells you a lot about your health. My experience with these toilets however is that they are more prone to clogging. Good luck getting rid of the log jam

Can't believe this is actullay something 'new' to someone..
Sure you don't get your buttocks wet when your dump hits the water but it's visibly there and if it's a big one either you'll have to flush lots of times or it'll clog up the whole thing.
Tho i think that some might rubb their buttocks against their own shit if the bowl is too big, that would suck.
Must be some taboo but even if i don't enjoy it i still see my dump after i take (and if it's a fucking submarine then i'll be like woah.. i did that..) , it's not like i sit on the fucking toilet and wipe my ass.
The one thing i can't understand is fuckers who need 20 fucking minutes to take a fucking dump, they even bring something to read, can't imagine what the fuck takes so long, you take the dump and wipe your ass, 5 minutes, can't be more unless it's diarheea.
