Great trailer and Fassbender as Magneto is fucking first class () but there are definitely some iffy casting imo on pretty much all other spots besides Fassbender and McAvoy

I'll be doing something I haven't done for years, I'll see this one today at day one. Hopefully the cinema won't be filled with pricks at day one as usual. Good thing this isn't tainted by 3D, every goddam movie being 3D exlusive was starting to piss me off.
I liked it very much. It's a proper movie, I might even name it the best of the Xmen movies. Pacing was very good imo, I wasn't bored once. The two lead actors do an excellent job, the rest of the cast is good to great. There is only one "OMFG cut this teenage bullshit" moment, overall the movie is mature and does not degrade to emo drama.

actually caught those 'intro' videos (for beast, havok and banshee) and those definately got me interested... and then saw the trailer on tv, and i must say - i actually want to see this now.
initially i had ZERO interest in this, but it looks quite cool and im looking forward to the r5 and then the 1080

X2 has more mutant action and is cooler, but this one is a better movie with a better script. I can't describe it better sorry. If you like the X-men only for their powers and want to see them kick ass constantly, then X2 is the obvious choice. This movie is more about the advent of the X-men and the split between Xavier and Magneto. It also has the "set-up for something better" thing, so it doesn't go all out yet. Nothing will top the first nightstalker scene in X2 though.
PS. The girl playing Mystique is very hot, goddam. Not teh Hollywoodian "skin over bone with two silicon balloons" hot, but hot like a real girl. She already showed in Winter's bone she can act too.
