CoD: Black Ops is officially the best-selling game of all time.
In the five months since its release, Activision says Black Ops has attracted more than 33% more total unique online gamers than its record-breaking predecessor, Modern Warfare 2.
It also confirmed that digital downloads of the Black Ops First Strike content pack were more than 20% higher than digital downloads of the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Pack "during the comparable period in 2010."
Bought some dude´s Black Ops account from interwebz for 10 euros Not a bad deal, multiplayer is pretty nice imo. Steam price is still unbeliavable -.- 59€
Even if i have steam guard on it "On" now? Also changed email address + Password since he provided password of the email address which he had specificially made for the steam account.
So how different do you look from outsiders eyes than one who has stolen a account? I bet it's pretty much the same if the guy you bought it from got some product information, like cdkeys and whatnot.
He bought key from CD-key site, also it was russian version and the guy didnt even know how to convert it to english, that was the reason he sold it. If he doesnt know how to replace russian files with english, i bet he doesnt go all the trouble getting the account back
so....did BLACK OPS' latest patch fixed movies and Single Player Performance and bugs so it doesnt strutters or well,NOT GOING WRONG?...

Well it's not ideal or anything but as I see it why shouldn't they gradually increase pricing when it still sells, wasn't there like 20 million downloads or so (Unsure if that's purchases or whatever, probably not due to marketing talk and similar.) on the console versions alone.
It's worked so far so who knows what will happen to game and "addon" prices in the future.
(49.99 up to 59.99 as a near standard now, DLC upwards of 10 or even 15, CE stuff for 74.99 or 65.99 all the way up to 100 or even more, still it sells, bringing larger and larger profits.)
well, if people are gullible enough to pay for a couple of maps then so be it...
I guess I'm just spoiled by actually being able to download maps for free by enthusiasts who just like to share their ideas.
I don't exactly like where it's going either (Plus how the focus and design in current games have shifted over to a sort of mass market appeal.) if that wasn't clear already but as I keep buying games I like to show support and similar I'm not one to complain though I do wish the pricing would go back at least somewhat to more standard levels but game software is a form of luxury I suppose and with how these large scale publishing studios and the like more or less dominate the market now or how to call it, after all they have to go with profits constantly and then in turn this is used for larger scale projects (Famous voice actors, high quality technique or other licensing costs I guess to name some examples.) or massive marketing campaigns (Was it Black Ops that had a 100$ million budget for that alone?) once again needing further profits this generates to maintain the cycle.
In the process games are simplified to be just enjoyable (With exceptions of course, thankfully.) and kept simple (Also with exceptions.) in order to reach these "important" 90+ ratings and 1 - 2 millions of units sold or some such.
I'm no expert of course but I understand why many companies seek to take better advantage of it, more funding can also theoretically improve the game experience itself though I'm not certain, Witcher 2 is said to have used a ten million budget which in comparison is pretty low and it's still highly successful.
(I'm sure there are better examples and opinions as I'm rather poor at explaining but you get these yearly big budget franchises and the occasional new ideas now and then though a lot of it is axed due to poor reception and sales and not given a proper chance, then there's the Free-2-Play stuff, MMO's, DLC as mentioned and now also web browser based titles on social sites.)
Was it Black Ops that had a 100$ million budget for that alone?
MW2 had a $200M marketing budget, and Activision said Black Ops would have the biggest marketing budget they ever spent. So this means more than $200M.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
