Anyone got a problem on mission 3 on the defence the castle campaign? bloody hell it keeps crashing on me.

i have that weird bug too
i'm playing in passiv mode/sim mode where i have to help the king to rebuild the place.....
the problem i have is always on 3rd mission after 5min playing into that mission the screen goes black...... and there is nothing i can do

Has anyone had problems with crashing back to main menu when playing?
I've played 2 mp games and 1 skirmish and it has crashed every time after about 1-1.5 hours. It's really annoying and it ruins the game completely since there is no save functions.

never finished chapter 2 (war "mode")...as I get the bridge done (=mission completed) => game crashed and kicked me back to desktop...tried few times and had enough....
v1.1 btw.... can't play this *hit....

I think most of the people here posting saying it crashes , are involved with reloaded or soemthing.. game worked perfecly fine. PERFECT for me.. so ither u need to get ur fingures out your ass and buy a new pc.. looks like ya'll still using p1 133...

oh and BTW if u dont want ur game to crach DO NOT MINIMIZE the fucker..
if u do chances are it will crash... this as done same to me with carbon Clone realese .. it aint a crack problem it's a fucking buggy ass game.

I agree. Maybe people are experiencing problems with the updated cracked version? The game works fine for me. This game would of been nuked by now if it wasnt working. The only release that wasnt working so far by HLM was World Championship Snooker 2005. I gave up on that and just got the PS2 version.

As for my problems here I can say it was there in both the clone and the cracked release.
I'm using a AMD Athlon64 3000+ with a Radeon 9800 PRO and 1024mb DDR memory so I think my computer should be able to handle this game.
It runs perfectly until it suddenly crashes back to mainmenu with no errors or anything.

Yes, I had the same problem with the cracked HOODLUM Edition 1.1.
Just download the clone (if u haven't already, or just download CD2), and burn it. Then let it boot from CDROM with the original exe (first remove Stronghold2.exe, then run the update again (the one u can download from the internet, not the one from autoupdate)). Then it will work fine again.
This update should be nuked, I didnt test the original game from HOODLUM, but the update isnt 100% working.

I think you guys dont have SP2 installed or arent playing the original HLM release. There is no problems with this game. Theres no prob with the crack, this game is very buggy. But it shouldnt crash unless you minimized it.

The crack is crap. Played the carbon release for hours with the 1.1 patch and no problems or crashes.
Copied the crack and after a few minutes, the game gets unstable, lots of lags and hang ups.

Than its either the update patch itself, or the crack of the update patch? I think its the patch. The game itself works fine without the patch.

The Crack for 1.1 is the problem.
Unpatched it works with and without the crack (clone).
Patched to 1.1, the clone still works fine, but with HOODLUMs 1.1 crack, it crashes.

yea...playing v1.0 now - no problems. just that the game is starting to piss me off..I try to take that castle (chapter3 - mission 3?)...and it just wont happend + that I get confused with this stupid view... oh well will try it more later. Anywayz the patch just has bad crack - v1.0 works just fine as said above.
