indeed. i hope i can use aard to move chairs n shit and creep people out and make them think there are ghosts around and then i can make them hire me to 'get rid of them'... frightners style
And Alchemy seems a lot simplified, you only get to place 3 potions, there's also a toxicity level and im afraid that will go a lot up when you make powerful potions .
Also,
This bug was present in the first game, and im afraid its in the witcher 2 also, i managed to capture this screenshot from a dev diary video ( not a beta, alpha or pre-alpha build )

Alchemy is completely different and i love the new concept. It is more true to the books and involves more strategic thinking - you can't chuck down heals during fights any more - have to plan ahead.

Completely agree with you... being a professional monster slayer means going well-prepared to a fight for me, a witcher has to prepare beforehand and this concept reminds me a lot of the intro CGI from TW1 which is really good
I like the new alchemy concept too, for the exact same reason - it's more like in the books. Geralt never drank potions during a fight there, he always prepared beforehand. Bombs and petards seem better too, especially with the combos between them (like filling a room with gas, only to ignite it with igni sign or another alchemical contraption).
*edit* All in all, I can't wait for the 16th of May to finally try the game myself. All the previews look really promising.

Actually, there was a bomb that did the exact same thing in TW1. It released a flammable gas, but you had to set it on fire with Igni.
And yes, I also love the new alchemy. If you read The Witcher saga you know why it's better.
There are no loading times. Each transition is seamless. There are only loadings between chapters and when you first start the game. It was confirmed some time ago.
i possibily and honestly cant see how this game can fuck up the sales or the very gameplay.
its just the first game enhanced at the best in every field...
sex check
dwarfs check
geralt check
a good rpg (from the many videos) check
A FUCKING GOOD DIALOG SYSTEM check
combat system enhanced check
triss boobs check
almost 0 loading check
sidegames check
im really too optimistic or this game its just damn good?
on an unrelated note: fuck you bioware doing shitty rpges, just fuck you.

Lol, the quicksave is the same way it was in TW1 - each time a new file is created. At least in the preview build. Let's hope saves are not 30 megs then.
New gameplay video using Polish version of the game
It presents a part of a very early sidequest, but still: spoilers.
EDIT: The dialogues are fucking amazing. You can't really translate the one I like the best into English though so it still makes sense...
-Jesteś wolna?
-Nie, zapierdalam jak dyliżans.
If only I would understand polish... Love Geralt's voice, reminds me of the Geralt from that serial. Yeah, I watched that and from what I know it's pretty hated even by the fans of The Witcher. I don't know how much that kept to the books, I still have to read those 2 released in english, but I didn't hate it, I actually liked it a bit. Yeah, it was very poorly done, but I found the actors good on overall, especially that one that played Geralt. It showed me a bit more of what happens in Geralt's world. I really need to read those books too as I just love Sapkowski's universe.
