Like when you are hunting for evidence, will it just end up being "run around in a circle smashing the 'pick up' button" to snag all the evidence. If you miss something, will someone go "oh gee, you better go look over that crime scene again *wink wink*"
Also, they should make saving inconvenient. It would be way too easy to click "SAVE" and then interrogate someone. Wrong question? Re-load! Witness won't talk because you pissed him off? Re-load! But if you have to save at your home and then drive all across town to the police station, you may not want to bother reloading if an interrogation didn't go 100% perfect. |
A mix between some stuff in Heavy Rain and the investigative parts of Condemned would be awesome.
If not then i hope that the investigation aspect is at the front of the game and not shooting people and blowing shit up like in GTA. There are already many games for that and we need somnething original.

Well , I would like it to be like in Condemned 2 - maybe a bit complex .. in first Condemned that was so generic and predictable. Never played Heavy Rain , watched few gp videos..not sure how is it.

looks mediocre so far... i hope its not..."cinematic" - "drive" - "talk" - "cinematic" - "drive" rinse and repeat.
Im not sure what I should think about this game... its like some kind of GTA but on the other hand it got not much to do with GTA... bet you will either love or hate this one...and im afraid i will hate it... i hope i won't though...
anyone knows if you can at least mess around ? Like shooting around, driving over people etc. and what the consequences would be since you are a cop ?

Ah I have to disagree. Crysis 2 was awesome and changing the game to a city setting was not a bad move in my opinion.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I dunno guys I don't think you can just assume it'll be awesome because there's a R* logo on it. As someone said earlier it's being developed by Team Bondi and I think Rockstar is dabbling in it with them in addition to publishing it.
Quote: | From Wikipedia:
Team Bondi is an Australian independent third-party game developer, especially for the current-generation game consoles. The company was founded by Brendan McNamara, who was the former Director of Development for Sony Computer Entertainment’s Team Soho Studio in London and writer and director of The Getaway, which has sold over 4 million units on the PlayStation 2 console |
I never played The Getaway but I hope it was good. At 4 million sold I guess it's safe to assume so? I think it will probably be good but what will happen is most people are going to see the Rockstar logo and think GTA in an old school setting with some detective shit and those will probably be the ones who will walk away disappointed.

PC Specs: A Maganavox' Odyssey
Tweaked to play Frogger, Lemmings & GTA4

Maybe some people want to play this for the detective/investigation part and not for the action/shooting segments. I remember some people bitching when they announced the action sequences in LA Noir.
As long as they give you the option to chose, I don't see anything wrong with it.

DA2 is shit, but on this i have to agree with cobALT. What you say xDBS is like we can't complain about anything in any game. If you dislike something go read a book, watch a movie or play some other genres. You know, a game like this could just aswell been without 24089403 enemies every 4 minutes.
