lately my 28" Monitor started to fuck up, it would black out quite often, it started to happen rarely but now it's annoying as fuck so I decided to switch to an old 17" CRT and it looks so fucking tiny I feel miserable. I got 4 17" CRTs 3 of which are faulty or don't work but could be repaired. but man this is a fucking chore

1920x1200 to 1280x1024 Sad

repair it, monitors are easy to fix up there is not much to them and normaly its component related..

Yeah, he could fuck it up even more if he's incompetent. Rolling Eyes

If he's got a warranty, off he goes to the store he's bought it off.

If not, he better prepare some cash for some service work, or worse - for a new monitor. Sad

Using my tv as monitor and believe it or not, there is no such shit as that it is too big. Best screen I ever had Very Happy Only problem at this size(119cm LG) is that I can see the cleartype when I go to near (<50cm)

Btw color and sharpness are perfect. Saw a friend using a samsung TV as computer screen and it looked like pure shit. But he probably set it up wrong too...

agree, you will adjust to it pretty fast. I use my 32" as a monitor and it could actually be a little larger imo Very Happy

the size change is huge but manageable, actuallly I've always preferred CRT monitors over LCD, now if only if they weren't heavy as fuck.

what the crap man.. same FUCKIN' thing happened to me just now Sad my fuckin' lcd just got dead pixels or something.. A HUGE BLACK SPOT on the right side of the screen Crying or Very sad

And I don't have fuckin' money right now to buy a new one.. Sad

I just plugged my old LG Flatron 17" CRT and this one also isn't in any good condition.. at least it works but it doesn't show colours in games like it used too Sad too fucking dark on the whole screen..

now I can't play anything.. fuck my life. Crying or Very sad

I was playing Fallout New Vegas one hour ago and all of the sudden BAM!! WHAT THE FUCK is with this black spot on my right side.. quit the game.. same on the fuckin' desktop Crying or Very sad restarted like 3-4 times.. same shit Crying or Very sad

I'm miserable now.. can't play shit with this 17" CRT.. colours are fucked in games. Crying or Very sad

now i'm stuck with my old 17" CRT till I can somehow get money for a new lcd.. Sad

I can't even watch movies on this fuckin' crap CRT Sad the darker palette colours are fucked and I only see blackness for fucks sake Crying or Very sad

on the contrary for me colors are true and it couldn't look any better on any other LCD, my only problem is that it's a CRT and a 17" one at that which makes it a small but heavy as fuck piece of shit.
