I can confirm this is the case as I noticed it a couple of days ago that I looked for differences between all three versions.

15 April.. The day the ARG ended and we began powering GLaDOS...
Hm.. is this related to Borealis?

I can get a laptop with an i5, 4 gigs and a 5650 for ~700 euros here. And not "fell from the back of the truck", from a retailer.
Wouldn't surprise if it would have double the price in the States, everything is needlessly expensive there.

Except you don't have to buy the pack. Super Meat Boy has sold 400,000 copies on PC, if 1/40 of them would play the game we would be done. (<- that was an example)

We are past 2-3 days earlier. No we are talking about 1-2 hours earlier |
We have ensured it will be released 5.5 hours earlier from the already completed games.

Incredible marketing from valve here!
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

from this point of view, yes, in fact the whole April month was not so good for PC games releases, many of them have been delayed or won't be out before April 26-27, so many here are bored.

I said this when the countdown ended, the game wouldnt release early, if it did it would be a tiny bit early ( 1 hour or so) so Valve still look like heros despite taking all their fans for a huge fucking ride.
really is dissapointing that valve behaved htis way
EDIT:Some people on facepunch have worked out if you stop playing the bars are actually going faster, there have been numerous hints by valve to stop playing too.
Everyone on FP stopped idling in Killing floor (by far the hardest one to complete) and the bar shot up immensely. I suppose it makes sense, it is Glados after all, why we helping her reboot.

Even if it isn't fake, it will still be useless since the files are encrypted.
You won't see a playable release until it's officially released on Steam.

You know, I gotta admit that ppl are stupider than I thought xD
I think I give them too much credit...
Ppl actually thing that by playing those games will have any influence in earlier rls of Portal 2...
I mean c'mon, you really think valve care that portal 2 will be released earlier? They are a corporation, they care about money...
The marketing scheme is gold btw, selling extra games so that the new one could be 'released earlier' xD
I wonder what they'll do with Ep3...
