But with freeBOOT 12625 it wont ask for a update? Such a hassle searching for those default.xex files (for us that doesnt use usenet at least)

Dont you use Freestyle Dash ? if your on 12611 launch via that. Should use it anyway

yeah, I actually got both FSDs (prefer the earlier one tbh). Extracting ISO now and hoping for the best.

"this game requires an update, but the uptate couldnt be found" is the message I get when I try to launch it from FSD. I could try XexMenu, but think ill get the same message...

A bit off topic, but I can't ever seem to get fbbuild to build me a correct image of the 12625 dash. I'm currently running 12611 with dashlaunch 2.1 and FSD (whatever the newest version is). I'm just curious if any of you guys have any idea what I'm missing:

I've done it before, because I got 12611 running from the 9199 original. Anywho, all help is greatly appreciated and feel free to delete this if it's way too off topic.

I have another jtag on 12611, and just to test for you I launched it with the latest FSD and it worked fine. Did you remove the update folder from the iso on extraction? are you running the latest FSD build?

This one will take days to make it work on CFW 3.55.We need to fix all the sprx files.No EBOOT fix without 3.60 keys.

@deelix : just install latest dashlaunch and enable the "update" patch. So it will patch on the fly all games asking for updates.

@everyone else hoping to play Portal 2 on PS3 any time, don't dream, you won't. The executable (EBOOT.BIN) is encrypted with 3.60 public appldr keys, and we don't have them (we can't decrypt lv0 from 3.60 that has them, since lv0 was never decrypted to begin with. 3.56 keys were fine since there were in appldr which wasnt in lv0 back then).
So unless somebody manage to find an exploit to dump a decrypted lv0, bye bye portal 2 and other 3.60+ games. Maybe you can hope that Portal 2 EUR will only need 3.56 though, it's possible who knows, we will see. Even though if the european version doesnt need 3.60, we are still screwed for all other 3.60+ games (LA Noire for sure).

I played it ~ 40 mins .. looks like another masterpiece from Valve. Nice gfx , especially lighting but lacks AA so badly. There are not yet some complex puzzles , just warming up tutorials and some humour. I want to play it so much and I wish PC version was here..I don't think I can be patient this time. Very Happy Great gaming weekend for me ahead with MK and Portal. Smile

I got it running on my 1.51 or 1.6 FW 360 (can't remember which FW is on there).

*SPOILERS FREE*

I played it last night with a friend (split-screen). We beat the coop campaign. There were some pretty tricky puzzles along the way. I like all the changes they've made and coop helping tools they've added (you can have pointing indicators, "stand here" indicators, start a countdown that will tick for both players for timed puzzles, etc.

The humor is solid, too. My friend and I were laughing our asses off at some of the jokes and mishaps we ran into along the way. I think they did a great job of teaching new concepts (even though we already knew the new additions from the trailers) and ease you into the challenge, while still leaving you nicely confused when trying to figure out how to move 2 players through a stage.

The whole thing took us like 5.5-6 hours I think. We're both Portal 1 vets, so take that with a grain of salt if you play with somebody that's not a huge gamer or doesn't know Portal very well.

I just started Singleplayer this morning, so far the humor is even better than the coop Smile
