long story short i sold my wii to a friend and showed him how to use neogamma and load games off the ext usb drive i gave him. i figured it would be less than a month before his kid fucked it up and i was right. he called me 2 days ago to say the neogamma channel is gone and when they play the games that they bought (store bought disc games) that he receives all kinds of random errors at different points in the game.
i warned him in advance of anything asking to update. personally i may have used the thing a total of ~30 hours, maybe. i dont even remember what i did to get it hacked and now i'm supposed to fix it i guess. i hate people that let their stupid wild kids do whatever they want arrrrrrrggghhh
anyway - those of you that use a wii often and are in the know, what does it sound like he did? i've googled "neogamma channel gone" and "neogamma channel disappeared" but am not turning up anything obvious. mostly guides about installing it. i *think* he said the homebrew channel was still there, but he's often full of shit so it could be gone too.
for anyone looking in the future i dont know if the kid deleted the channel or what, but it was gone. i used the wad manager and installed the latest version of neogamma again and everything was back to good.
