Ok what was the last good shooter I played... Crysis 1 was good, but had quite some flaws. Hm Modern Warfare wasn't bad.. after that I played Warfare 2. Yeah, cinematic experience and so on but no replay value. Actually you felt a little bit raped afterwards Sad

Played world at war after those just because I needed a new shooter.. MEH. I played through it but ZERO replay value :/

Battlefield Bad Company 2 wasn't bad but in many aspects similar to Warfare 2. I won't count GTA 4 as a FPS but it was still very nice. Finished it...

And well now there is Crysis 2. Story is linear, levels are pretty much linear, but your actual field of action is pretty wide and REALLY gives you the choise to play it the way you want to! (at least most of the times)

Not like in Deus Ex Human Revolution where stealth obviously means shit. In Crysis 2 were parts where I tried it the hard way 10 times in a row. Then I just tried it the stealth way and got through on the first try!

While every body said that the AI is shit, I found it to be very good and engaging (maybe because I initially started with the 3rd out of 4 difficulties?)

And the graphics allowed me to easily immerse into the world. I did not expect any surprise story wise, hell, FPS DON'T need to have a special story line. I had much fun with Quake, Doom and Heretic without any story at all... The story in here was so irrelevant that I didn't even take it serious Laughing

Crysis 2's gameplay mechanics and visuals with HL2's mission design and story telling would be the best a FPS gamer could ask for, but that won't happen so fast again Smile

What I missed and expected from C2 was that while the areas were 20 times bigger than ANYTHING CoD offered, I would've liked to be in a totally destroyed part of new york where I could walk through different buildings, the stories and all rooms/offices. And more enemy types and destructible environment like in BF:BC2 and Red Faction.

oh the hell is wrong with this games multiplayer. this morning i could log in and play on a server... then 30 minutes later i could log in, join a server, but it would time out, and now it wont even accept any serial numbers.

Thats the best thing about the game really. Didnt think I could get such a good experience out of the game gfx-wise on my oldie 8800GT. (1680x1050, Very High, around 35 fps)

Story was what I expected, really. Gameplay was fun enough to keep me playing, but the engine seems really well optimized.

It's not a stand out game, but it kept me entertained.

New Vegas was hardly the first time something similar to that has been done so I wouldn't call it a ripoff of FNV

Semms like original release had some problems. Repack notes: Previous release had old v1.1 CRACK. Sorry for fuck up.

how do you 'accidentally' package a previous crack Cool Face no doubt just trying to pass off someone elses 1.1 crack as a 1.2 just to waste peoples time and have a laugh.

Well, it seems to "kinda sorta work"...Crouch toggle is now available from within the game menu, but Nano catalysts still doesn't work (maybe my save game is corrupted).

I do find it strange, that the 1.2 repack by ind, is EXACTLY the same size as their 1.1 "crack". I think I see the reason for why this is not a Scene crack Very Happy

they probably changed a couple of 1's into 0's so that anyone doing a check would see they arent IDENTICAL... but im pretty sure its not a proper crack.

After doing file compare between 1.1 and 1.2 crack, they seem completely different. Even size isn't same.

Still, if someone already lost nano-catalyst, it won't come back on its own with the patch, since "profile" is already corrupted with wrong value.

I could suggest using cheats to restore nano value to some positive number, then gaining some more catalyst and passing through checkpoint.

After that, if catalyst value is properly restored, after exiting the game, we'll know that issue is solved.


P.S.
I'm talking about repack, not that release with 1.1 crack in it.


EDIT:
Actually, it is same size as other non-scene 1.1 crack.
There is a difference, but a big chunk of code is the same. So I guess it's fake.

^see, just beginning and the end differ between two non-scene cracks. It must be fake. No real patch would have such huge match in binary code.

does multiplayer work with it?

mplayer is weird as hell on crysis2... ive repeatedly found that the game doesnt accept serial numbers as legit, but then at a later time of day, suddenly it does, and you can get all the way into joining a server, which then times out.
