Would that be worse than than health management system of Prey 1? (aka as you can't ever die ) |
True that. I had that completely blocked off my memory, thanks for reminding me.

Uh...is this the sequel to "Prey" or Duke Nukem?

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I don't know what to think...as you said some posts ago, it will be either the best game ever or a complete fail (the part where it says that there's no scripting/highligting sounds good though).

Oh god how I loved Rune, awesome game |
Me too, one of my favourite games actually, but what does Rune have to do with Prey? It's the same developer or what? I'm asking this just because I'm a bit confused. Prey 2 sounds pretty interesting until now, at least on its own, but I don't know how much of a sequel it will be for the first one. I didn't finish the first one actually, I'm about half way through the game I think. It's quite nice, it has that old school feel which I love in shooters and the lack of it in today's shooters are making them quite boring for me.

Huh? Are you sure about that? It's not reported in this thread, that's for sure. The only reference to portals I can find is a vague - There will be vag portals, but fewer on them and "with different looks"

Different protagonist, different setting, different plot, different gameplay.. we have all that confirmed.
Why does it surprise you they abandoned the portal mechanics and gravity shift moments as well?

If it's not a joke..why did they call it Prey 2? They could have started a new brand imo

Like Far Cry 2 that had nothing in common with the original. They're doing because they don't want to confuse people with another brand new and 'fresh' IP; and foremost, of course, game will have larger profitzz using 'Prey' in the title as opposed to not having. |
True, I didn't consider the fact that there are derps who buy a game just for the name ; well let's hope it won't turn into a complete fiasco like FC2 or many other sequels that tried to change the formula, failing miserably.

That's actually a selling point for me, because it - hopefully - means the developers will be able to concentrate solely on the SP plot. First Prey was great. It wasn't magnificent and it took aeons to arrive, but it was definitely great.
