i just brought a xbox from a friend and i want to mod it b i dont know how to solder and i dont have alot of money for the service so i wanted to buy a nosolder chip but there are about 5 of them out there, could someone please tell me witch will be the best?

well i have did some searching and i found a xenium ice solderless mod chip for $49 with free overnight shipping is this a good chip?

Myself I would buy an Xecuter 2.6Lite
As its cheap, and I am a cheap git 
But any chip with the solderless adapater should work great
the xenium ice is a decent chip there really is little diffrence between the "big" chip's, I only buy xecuter just because they make there own bios's, but there is nothing wrong with the xenium ice and on a 1.0 board its a piece of cake to install

so the xenium ice will work great when i want to play backup games?i really dont care about xbox live, i got my ps2 for online play but on the site where i am about to buy the chip it says,Once you've installed your Xenium ICE chip you will be able to login your Xbox via the built in FTP on the Xenium OS, does this mean i can play online games with them?
what is special about the xecuter 2.6lite

ok i got the chip and installed it, but i dont know if its working or not when i turn on the xbox it loads up the same what do i need to do,
ps i have a 10ft ethernet wire but i dont have a router could i hook the xbox up to the computer with that? does the xbox has to be on? i am so lost i dont even know if the chip is working could someone please help me

I modded 4 Xbox with the solderless adapter and never had to solder anything, you suppose to push the gold wire down d0 with some pressure (or bend it in there at a angle)...and it will stay in place for good.

JustinT9669 is right and it will make a pop noise but be careful to much pressure you can go straight through the board i know few people that did that

ok i got it installed and the chip is working i am at the welcome screen, now what do i do i cant really find any guids that is really helping me, can someone please give me some links where i could find out how to ftp my box and how to put the programs on it so i could play backups
