Sadly, it has no widescreen support at all, that's why I keep my good old trusty 4:3 monitor close by at all times.

Just finished MP 1&2 again ... what can I say? Epic games, I stand by my earlier statement, best story in a shooter, that I have ever played. It was great!
Max Payne 3 has a lot to live up to, it's practically almost impossible to reach this level of greatness in 2011 I fear.

The story of Max Payne is finished, there is no where for it to go. This is simply a cash in. If there was ever a game that PC gamers should pirate on mass it is this one.

Max Payne could work in a open-world setting like GTA made in a noir-style. But this is not the road the game is taking and I'm not even sure why they even uses the Max Payne name. I don't think it will benefit the game, would probably do as well without the name

Huh..? So they changed their minds and the voice actor will return, and there isn't only the Bald Old Max, but Hairy Young Max as well..
To me it sounds like they reworked some aspects after the fans raged.

For me the regular, dead Mona, ending is canon. It fits the game and Max better.. IMO.

I agree with you completely.
Btw, did you love the Address Unknown TV show from MP 2? Damn, that was an epic show. Small things like that brought so much meat to the game. From a writing point of view, it's simply flawless.

McCaffrey returns as the voice actor AND performance actor, as for the first time he does motion capture for the character Max Payne. Will post scans soon.

Imho you aren't missing much. I beat "Alan Wake" and thought it was pretty meh. Max Payne 1+2 (one of my top franchises of all time) were 100x better in both gameplay and storyline. Most of the praise that "Alan Wake" gets is from console derps who probably haven't even heard of Max Payne.
