Excellent. Cool Face

And FLT have been rocking the scene lately. I suspect some fresh blood has been poured into their lines thus taking them out of the cryo sleep they were so long into. Cool Face

Does anyone know if multiplayer can be played or even over lan like the first game?

Fairlight's nfo says the protection is SolidShield+Steam which doesn't seem promising.

This is a rushed release undoubtedly. Now I'm sure that they were having financial problems, and in order to continue the development this was the way they choose to gain some funding.
It will need more 2 years of development.
Well, be patience my friends. This is a niche genre.
Yes, I would like a bit more honesty from the developer, from Oleg.

Hmm interesting, I played the original game and the one with added expansions, IL-2 1942 and graphically (at least from screenshots and videos) it doesn't look any different to Cliffs of Dover. I'm surprised it runs as bad as people say it does.

Also if there's no multiplayer (can anyone confirm this?), then there's even less point for me trying this game out.

Dunno whether to blame UBI or 1C for this embarrassing pile of shite.
It may be good in the future when it is patched (but I doubt it). It seems to me like it is using the same crappy old engine it used 10 years ago, the one where when you want to bomb something, it pops up in front of your face when you approach it.

Maddox never could be arsed to (or simply couldn't) fix this for his user base. I think the bloke is vastly overated meself.

What REALLY annoys me though is the new video released by UBI or !c which shows a flawless running sim with lots of planes in the air. Talking about breaking the trade descriptions act and lying to the customers.

http://ve3d.ign.com/videos/79987/PC/IL-2-Sturmovik-Cliffs-of-Dover/Trailer/Launch-Trailer.

Compared to Rise Of Flight, Flaming Cliffs 2, A10c Warthog and Blackshark this product is a fucking joke in its present state.

I may buy it one day if it gets fixed..... I wont hold my breath though.

I can only select 5780x1080 or 3400x900 (or similar) when I start the game...and the fov is awful Sad

so this is something I proberbly need to wait for better patches before I actually buy it.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Yes, I meant if it was actually playable in the Fairlight or Trivium release.

Well I am glad I have IL-2 1946 and all its addons and the mods from AllAircraftArcade. Not missing anything by not being able to play a non-bugged Cliffs Of Dover.

Oleg has always been full of shit.I remember when he bypassed making torpedo planes by saying that there were copyrights on those planes. It was just an excuse to move on and not put anymore time into IL-2.Have never trusted anything hes said after that.

I am talking about the pacific fighters fiasco and how it was released without any of the key flyable torpedo or dive bombers like the TBF,TBD,etc.Olegs ]excuse was that copyrights from Grumman prevented him from doing so.It was BS.Then he got upset when the code was cracked and modders made those planes. Sounds like a complete and utter jacka*s... such planes are FRICK'N OLD.. Get over it and let people remember such planes interactively.

Most everyone these days has a multicore processor. It was extremely stupid for them not to offer that from the start.I am not surprised at the performance issues as everyone with a multicore is now running as if they were playing on an antiquated single core 2.5 to 3.2 or whatever processor now by running this.
