I was so close to buying it- uffff glad i didnt. 20-25 fps during night races , while getting 50-80 in the first shift, is a joke . So fuck you ea once more and fuck you ati .
Damn i'm mad.
Wouldn't Shift.exe instead of Shift2u.exe force the profile the GPU is using to be from the first game, might improve performance a bit.
(There is already profile work via both NVIDIA and ATI for Shift2 though as far as I'm aware.)
It's a SLI issue, apparently improved in the more recent NVIDIA drivers.
(And a Crossfire issue as discussed, game doesn't do that well with multi-GPU support on the whole but it's been improved.)
That's because people with nVidia cards automatically turn into fanboy assholes.
Just check forums about the Crysis 2 flickering on Geforce cards.
Crysis is flickering on all dual-GPU, including nVidia.
Funny how you label anyone who doesn't have the same preference as you in applications and hardware. All I stated was facts about Chrome vs. Firefox after you complained how it was crashing, and you called me a fanboy. Then I stated my own experience with 4870 X2 -> GTX 480 and I am yet again branded as fanboy.
Great thx. Glad i'm not alone. All that bling annoys me like hell. How can someone proclaim a serious racing game and then have all that retarded shit. Damn you Americans!!

@Leo: you were terribly unlucky with the 4870x2, which is still "famous" for being one of the most unsupported Ati cards ever (both in terms of app. profiles, heat/power consumption and various hw problems). The single 4870 on the other hand was fine (well, except for the drivers )

nothing wrong with the drivers of teh single 4870 eh eh ? if you mean as in games not catering for latest then thats not the drivers fault
Sooo~ ... does anyone know how to change the language?. It didn't let me choose the language on the setup and I can't change it ingame either. That's pretty annoying.
I mean...come on! listening to Vaughn Gittin Jr. is already creepy enough AND I get the bonus to listen to him in german? seriously, fuck you EA. I want to play it in english >.<.

Heh I still have the old problem with Bad Company 2 that stutters like a crazy with drivers more recent than the 10.5 (meh )..also the overall framerate in some games that I play regularly is better with those prehistoric drivers..don't ask me why..but after several tests it seems that my system is rather allergic to new drivers.
